Jack waits outside for the painter to come back outside. Art wasn't really one of his favorite things to be around. Too many memories. He wonders why the puppeteer would put it on his shoulders to care about a young boy like him. Oddly, the painter reminds him of the boy he once cared for. He quietly growls at himself and realizes he's no longer alone. He looks down and sees a young boy staring at him. "Hello" the young boy nervously looks up at the older man. Jack can see that he was crying. Without asking why, the monochrome clown produces a brightly colored balloon and a bag full of candy, handing them to the boy. "Thank you, sir. That made my day" he smiles brightly. "Go on and run home now little one." The boy starts to leave then turns back to face Jack. "Is the carnival coming to town soon mister?" He looks at the boy slightly confused then realizes why he asked. "Yes, very soon little one." The boy smiles and runs off. Lj sighs to himself and turns his attention back to the door and waits for the painter. He doesn't understand why the puppeteer cares so much about the boy. Maybe he never would
