"NOOOOOOO ME NEED MY PASSIE" y/n screamed. "babe you a big girl now you don't need it. y/n screamed again tears falling down her chubby little cheeks. "ME NEED IT" she screeched, I plugged my ears an groaned. "y/n you don't need this big girls don't need a passie" her cries got louder and her tears fell down faster. I picked her up but she continued to cry her eyes out. "please y/n stop crying please babe please" "PASSIE .... I WANT PASSIE" she whined and cried. I sighed biting my lip knowing my wife wouldn't be happy with this. "fine fine ill give you your passie" her eyes went wide and she smiled "passie" I nodded and gave it back to her and she shoved it in her mouth an started sucking on it. I sighed knowing that little seen was over but im not looking forward to the day passie is taken away for good

I took y/ns pacifier and put it on the counter. "we don't need this do we" suddenly her eyes went wide an she sat on the floor and started to scream bloody murder. "baby we don't need this" she continued to cry an scream. I tried picking her up but she started kicking. I didn't know what to do I couldn't give it back because she needed to learn to live without it but her crying was one of my weaknesses. "babe we don't have to cry it will come back to you" I said trying to convince her but she wouldn't buy it. she was crying harder now an I could tell it was affecting her. "ok ok if I give you it back will you please stop crying" she nodded quickly an made grabby hands to me. I took the pacifier off the counter and gave it to her. she instantly stopped crying and put it in her mouth slobbering on it making sure I knew it was hers an I let out a laugh. "alright alright its yours"

this is a big risk I was taking but in the parenting book it says its better to get rid of it early. I slowly removed it from her mouth an she gave me a confused look. I thought to my self please don't cry please don't cry. she sat there for a second processing what I just did. I thought hmm maybe she doesn't need it anymore. suddenly her face went red and her eyes filled with tears. she let out a scream that probably shook the whole neighborhood, "babygirl calm down please calm down for daddy" I said pleading she would stop crying. I spent about 20 minutes trying to calm her down but she wouldn't budge. I knew she would probably cry her self to sleep but it hurt knowing my baby was crying cause she was either hurt or needing something. "fine" I whispered walking to the kitchen were I had put the pacifier. I took it up to her room an showed her it. she stopped crying an grabbed it from my hands putting it in her mouth feeling content . I sighed an said "glad that's over"

she was stomping her foot on the ground, screaming an crying hoping it was gonna help. "darling don't do that we don't need it your a big girl big girls don't do that or need a pacifier" no matter what I said she wouldn't stop crying. "how about I take you to get ice-cream will that make things better " she still continued to scream an throw a huge fit. I knew I couldn't give it back to her because she was growing up an didn't need it anymore. "ME WANT IT" she cried loudly. I picked her up an took her to her room. Emilee my wife watched from the door way biting her lip. she hated seeing her own daughter cry but I hated it more. "y/n your a big girl right" she nodded an I continued to talk. "since your a big girl do you need your pacifier" she thought for a second an nodded. "but daddy who will take care of it" my wife smiled and watched what I was gonna say. "darling don't worry I will but you have to stop crying ok" she frowned an said "ok daddy"

i took her pacifier an put it in my pocket. we were on tour an i know she would drop it when we were walking. suddenly she let out a loud cry/ scream. "baby girl its ok shh" i said while walking into the arena. she continued to cry an i didn't know why she usually was such a quite an sweet baby. i tried to see if she was hungry but she wasn't, her diaper was clean an she didn't have to burp. then i realized i still had her pacifier in my pocket. i felt so bad that i was making my own daughter cry. i took out the pacifier an realized i had to clean it. i ran to the bathroom holding her on my hip. i ran it under some cold water getting any dirt or dust on it. i dried it off an gave it to y/n. she took it quickly an started sucking on it . i smiled an said "there you go kitten no more tears" i kissed her forehead an looked around the place. all my dreams came true
