One day when I was in the nursery DeathClan was under attack. By Leopardpelt a former member of DeathClan. Mama told us a story of how he and his apprentice,Lionpaw, were exiled. I thought it was just a made up story but appearently it was true. But in the middle of the raging battle I saw a kit fighting! Wow I thought that kit is awfully brave. But then I saw some leopard like tom pick her and her siblings up and threw them inside the nursery. Up close she had brown eyes. Her pelt was black with blood-red splotches all over her body.
"Hello newcomer. My name's Jaykit what's yours?" I asked the kit and she turned and looked at me.
"My name? Why should I tell you my name?!" She snapped and headed off towards my brother Hawkkit.
"Hello i'm Bloodkit I hope we can become friends." I overheard the she-kit talking.
"Be friends with a stranger?! Your not even a Clan cat! I'm only friends with Clan cats not loner kits!" My brother scoffed.
"Hawkkit! Shush! Can't you see that this kit is something to fear! First of all she's Leopardpelt's and Shaderose's kit! They're no good. Shaderose mostly but with them together our Clan will be destroyed!" I heard my mother Roseheart wail.
"Roseheart calm down! This is a KIT we're talking about! If she lives in this Clan long enough hopefully she won't end up like her father Leopardpelt." I heard Flowernose try to calm my mother down.
"Hey Bloodkit,if you'll be my friend I can get you closer to my brother Hawkkit." I smiled.
"Fine! But only until Hawkkit starts to like me." Bloodkit snarled at me reluctantly.
I saw Bloodkit glance at my brother with a hurt expression. I could tell she would be mooning over Hawkkit as soon as they got to know each other. 'I can't believe I thought being friends with her to make her get closer to Hawkkit would make her like me! I'm so stupid!' I glanced at Bloodkit who was trying to start a conversation with Hawkkit. This was going to be tough to try to get Hawkkit to like Bloodkit with all of his attitudes. But this is a challenge I stupidly walked right into. Now I have to successfully get Hawkkit to like Bloodkit.
