The Royal Marriage

your moved your paintbrush lightly against the thick landscape, creating a pretty orange/cyan sunset. you stood impressed in your silky, purple dress that almost reached your knees.

your parents is both king and queen of the kingdom zaldom which makes you the princess at age 18. you have a younger brother, jay, who is 16, and dating miyoung, princess from the kingdom moka.

both our kingdoms were allies so both of our  parents agreed to let jay date her. you liked her, she was nice and often hanged out with you sometimes. you also have a little sister, jiyoo, who is the youngest in your family.

she was 13 years old and even though she could be so annoying, you couldn't imagine your life without her. speaking of jiyoo, she bolted to your room as you jumped from the sound of the door opening.

"y/n! guess what!" you rolled your eyes before sighing. "how many times do i have to tell you to knock before coming into my room!" you usually had a guard guarding your door but you didn't know where they were and tbh you were glad since you had privacy now.

"ugh, you always have to ruin the mood, anyways, when me and mother went out i met a cute boy." she sounded so excited. "wow that's good for you." you said smiling.

"no it's not, he's 5 years older than me." she said with a pout as she flopped down on your bed. "wow that's tough." you turned back around and continued to paint on the large canvas. "i don't know why you're so worried about boys anyway."

your eyes closed at the feeling of the burning hot drops trickling down your body. hot steam expanding all over your bathroom and made your mirror blurry. you pressed the button off before hopping out of the shower in your robe.

you opened the door to your room and found a bodyguard standing in front. you scrunched your eyebrows in confusing when you saw him holding a box that was wrapped as a present with a red bow on top.

"her majesty, the queen told me to bring this up to you." you grabbed the box and placed it on your desk. "thank you william, you can go now." you liked to call all the staff and guards by their name since you consider them as your friends.

your gaze averted to the box as you untied the ribbon and opened it. there revealed a off shoulder, long sleeve teal dress that went all the way down to the floor. you looked back in the box and saw a note.

"y/n, wear this dress and come downstairs to the dining hall when you're done." you read out loud the note. "this usually happens on special occasions." your lips curved into a pout as you stated.

you turned your body side to side as you appeared in front of the mirror. your smooth shoulders and chest complete visible as you smooth out your dress as your curves showed. your high heels matched the dress.

you sighed before heading down the royal stairs into the dining hall. once you stepped inside the room you saw both of your parents sitting together while on the other side was 3 people. it looked like another family.

you assumed the guy on the far right was the son. you walked forward so they could see you. "oh y/n you're here, come sit." mother pat the empty seat next to her for you to sit. you sat down and now you and the son were face to face in eye contact. you both stared into each other's orbs for a good 10 seconds before it was interrupted by your mother.

she chuckled before saying "this is my first born daughter y/n." you stood up and bowed to them before sitting back down. you had a confused expression on your face on what's going on.

"honey, this is the king and queen of adler and their son, prince jeon jungkook." they all bowed to you, they all had a smile on their face except jungkook. he seemed cold so you tried not to make eye contact again.

"what's going on?" you whispered to mothers ear. she turned to everyone and had a bright smile on her face. "i have an announcement to make." everyone averted their eyes onto mother.

everyone looked happy and excited while me and the prince remained confused. she looked down at me before saying "us 4 has decided that we have a royal marriage between princess y/n and prince jungkook." WHAT?! this can't be happening. royal marriage?! to a total stranger?!

"WHAT?!" you both screamed out at the same time. his parents awed at the sight of you two. "aww they're so cute together." you stood up and held your mothers hand. "mother, i can't get married, at least not with a stranger!" you pleaded.

"this marriage would be one of the biggest marriages in history. please do this for me and your father." her doe eyes made you instantly weak.

all of a sudden, you saw your sister jiyoo stand at the doorway as she pointed to prince jungkook with her lips curved upwards.
"he's the cute guy that i met."
