A groan escaped from Gun's mouth when he heard the incessant ring of alarm blasted through the room. He dragged his body towards the bedside table, arms reaching out in an attempt to shut off the source of annoyance. When he had finally get a grip on his phone, he tapped the screen aimlessly hoping that it will shut the alarm off. After a few inner mental contemplation on whether he should just stay in bed or get up, he took a quick glance at his phone screen and decided to force his heavy eyelids open and start his day. Gun squinted his weary eyes, before reaching out to grab his pair of glasses, neatly placed at his bedside table. He read the time displayed on his phone and it was approximately 6 in the morning. Gun did some light stretching, twisting his upper body side to side and began his daily morning routine by making his bed as he fluffed the pillows before heading to the washroom to freshen up. Once he was done, he made his way downstairs to whip up breakfast for his probably still sleeping housemates. Peering through the ingredients in the fridge, he decided that today breakfast menu would be beef ball soup with rice noodles. Gun chopped up the vegetables confidently, blended some spices and tossed all of other necessary ingredients into the pot. While waiting for the soup to boil, he decided to head outside the garden to water the plants since he had noticed how it hasn't been raining these days.

"Nong Gun, you're up early." The interrupted voice jerked the smaller man in surprise which causes him to release the hose from his hand and instantly shutting off the water from the nozzle. Gun turned his head to see who was the culprit who had gave him a frightful shock and frowned at the latter who remained towering behind his back.
"Oww P'Tay!! You startled me," Gun playfully glared at the latter one more time before he shook his head and instantly switched to a smile as he greeted, "Good morning P'Tay! Hope you had a good night sleep." Guessing how Tay is never a morning person to begin with, he is probably scowling at the moment. Gun giggled when he heard a grunted response as he tend to his gardening duties.
"I wish I could say that I had a good sleep, Nong but I got called in for an emergency last night," Tay replied calmly and tilted his head side to side hoping that it will provide him some sort of relief. Then he brought his hand up to his right shoulder, giving them firm squeezes, thinking if he should visit a massage parlour during his free time as a reward for his hard work.
Tay worked at a private clinic in the neighbourhood. Although his clinic does not operate 24 hours, he still felt that it was his duty as a doctor to attend to his patient's needs at anytime of the day which is why he made a promise to make himself always readily available to the public, of course restricting to emergency cases only. Last night emergency came from a pair of frantic parents who brought their infant to the clinic after they observed on how their baby had been wheezing all night. Tay then performed the necessary treatment to ensure the well-being of the infant and reassured the parents that their baby will be alright. Although he still advised that they should continue to monitor their baby for a couple of hours and send them to the nearest hospital if the condition gets worsen. The couple felt no words could convey their gratitude to Dr. Tay for his prompt response and constant reassurance which then they left to head back home with their baby safe in their arms. With his dedication and passion to help out others in the neighbourhood he grew up to love, everyone in this district would not hesitate to consult Tay with regards to their health.
