The next day at work was fairly exciting. You made sure to at least dress decent, and since it had been a couple of months since the whole leg-breaking thing, you finally felt comfortable donning your heels again, so you broke out your favorite pair - oh yes, the black open-toed pair with the ankle strap and small silver studs. Angie called them your ass-kicker heels. And you couldn't help but agree. And after the whole thing in the parking lot the day before, you sorta felt like you needed them.
You made sure to get into the office early enough to have Yoongis favorite coffee waiting for him before his meeting with Namjoon. Grabbing the file folders with both of the dancers' information, you went over them again before they came in. Promptly at 10, you were down in the lobby, talking to the receptionist waiting for Yunho and J-Hope to walk in and you couldn't help but let out a quiet laugh. Of course, J-Hope is DanceHorse. Because why wouldn't another of Jungkooks friends find his way to JinHit.
Greeting the two boys, you lead them up to the practice studio, giving them some time to warm up while you gather Jimin, Jungkook, and Yoongi. Yoongi wasn't quite done with his meeting so Namjoon came along as well. The boys were just getting ready to start with Jin walked into the room as well. He might trust you to pick on your own, but that doesn't mean the sassy man doesn't have an opinion."Ah ok Yunho, Hoseok; I know we've gathered quite the audience, but just feel free to do whatever. I have your choice of music all set up, we can start whenever you'd like." Getting comfortable on the small sofa in the room, you pull your small notebook out so you can take notes on style and form to help you make the final decision.
30 minutes later you feel Jimin slide his hand under your chin and lift your jaw up that had fallen open. You gave him a sheepish smile before thanking the two dancers and telling them you would contact them tomorrow with the final decision, you still had to talk it over with the rest of the guys.
"Ok guys hit me with it. Namjoon, Jungkook please try to keep the friendship aspect out of the equation."
Jungkook spoke up first, pointing out he had already danced with Hoseok previously, it was actually him that taught Jungkook how to dance. Explaining that he was easy to work with, but quite tough when it came to technique and practice. "He'll take into account if you're injured or something, but he still pushes you. He pushes you a little bit further each time so that your dancing improves. Hobi hyung is a tough teacher, but he's fair. He doesn't hesitate to point out when you've done something right or mastered something that had been a problem area before. He has a way of making dancing fun too, not all work. Yunho on the other hand is gifted, you can tell that just from watching him dance. I've never worked with him so I can't speak for how well of a teacher he is."
The other guys nodded solemnly at what Jungkook was saying. It helped to have firsthand knowledge of what sort of teacher the guys were, and the fact that they had that with Hoseok was a bonus.
After a few more minutes of conversation, you and Jin headed to your office.
"Even if we don't choose Yunho this time around, I think we should keep him in mind for the future. He would be amazing to work with. Same for Hoseok. They both seem like they would be a huge asset to JinHit."
"Mm, I agree. Whichever guy you choose is fine with me Nari. But good luck choosing between them."
"Ugh, I know. I'm still waiting on a couple of calls from previous people the guys have worked with. It will give me a better idea of their teaching style and how easy or hard they could be to work with, but I'll have an answer for you before I leave tonight.""No problem, I trust you, Nari. Hiring you was one of the better decisions I've made. Guess I have Jungkook to thank for that."
"Well, actually Sir. If you hadn't hired Jungkook to begin with, I wouldn't have started talking to him. So you still have yourself to thank." Shooting Jin a wink and smile to feed his ego, you gave him a light shove out of your office so you could get back to work.Your day took longer than you were expecting, a few of the contacts didn't call you back until late, but during that time you still managed to get a lot done. You finally shot off an email to Jin letting him know who your choice was before gathering your purse and jacket and locking your office.
Saying goodbye to the receptionist you headed out to your car, stopping once you saw Jungkook leaning against it.
"Uhh hi?"
"Hi, Nari." He gave you his trademark bunny grin, something all of you teased him about, as he opened the door for you so you could throw your stuff in the car. "So I know it's late, but are you doing anything when you leave here?"
"Oh. I have a hot date actually."
"Oh. Um. Alright then. Sorry to --"
"With a good book and a hot bath. Sorry I couldn't resist."
"Oh! So you're not seeing anyone?
"Well I mean I'm looking at you right now, does that count.""Nariiii" Huffing in frustration, you were half expecting to see him stomp his foot. "That's not what I meant."
"I know, but I couldn't help it. I just love teasing you, it's so fun. No Jungkook, I'm not seeing anyone, I am completely single, but I am busy tonight. Today has been a headache and I just want to relax."
"No problem. We have tomorrow off, do you have plans then?"
"Well I promised Jessa I would take her to the festival, but you can come with us! That would make her day. She loves Cooky by the way."
"Smart girl. I would love to join you two if you really think she wouldn't mind." His face lit up beautifully.
"Ok then. I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight Jungkook."
