Had I done something wrong?

Many thoughts like this were going through Winter's head as she was walking into her classroom. Her boyfriend, Kim Hyunjin, had been completely ignoring her for the past two days. Everytime they would meet in the hallway, he would quickly invert his eyes to the other direction. Her mind was spiraling out of control– what if this was the end? They were the ideal highschool couple, everyone admired their lasting relationship. It would come as a total shock that the highschool sweethearts have parted ways. Winter's anxiety was growing by the second, she tensed up and was staring at the ground. She felt embarssed, as if everyone had already known about their downfall. She was so caught up in her mind she didn't even take a moment to look in front of her.

Thump

Winter has suddenly crashed into something, falling straight on the floor. She finally had looked up to see who had bumped into her. She was drawn back but the beauty of this girl, then she finally realized who it was. Karina. She took a moment to examine the remarkable features on her face, the cat-like eyes, the small face shape, she was so gorgeous in Winter's eyes. She had completely forgotten about all the things circulating in her mind.

"I am so sorry winter!! Are you okay?" Karina had asked with her honey voice. She reached out her hand to help Winter up, but she had already gotten up on her own.

"Yes, yes.. I am fine. Do not worry."

"I am so–" Karina stuttered, but the blonde girl had already walked off.

Winter has rushed off to her classroom. Her mind was racing more then ever, but not about Kim Hyunjin. Her thoughs are consistently on Karina and her charming looks. Why was she so intrigued by this girl?

The day had flown by so quickly, and still not a word from her dear boyfriend Hyunjin. Winter's friends had started to question her relationship with the boy, but she did not let a word out. She felt that it was embarrassing her boyfriend had done this to her, especially when she didn't even know the reason. By now if was nearing the end of the day, Winter had just walked into her final class. With Karina. The blonde girl had only gotten a chance to glance at Karina, but her heart immediately sunk. She hadn't met a girl, or anyone, who has made her feel like this. She didn't quite understand her emotions, so she passed it off as someone she wanted to get closer to.

Their teacher had announced that their will be an upcoming science fair, that was mandatory. The teacher would assign partners to the students, but the partners would be someone who they have never worked with before. Winter let out a groan, she barley knew anyone in this class. She has a small hope that her parent would be that wonderful girl, Karina. Her hopes had came true.

While announcing the matches for each student, the teacher had said Karina and Winter will be working together. Winter's whole mood had just changed, she was oddly excited to be paired with the blue haired girl. Karina had given Winter a warm smile while walking over to her. Winter was overwhelmed with joy, and didn't want to mess this up. Last time she was very short with the girl, she had promised herself she wouldn't do that this time.

"Funny how we keep bumping into each other."

"Hm, well I guess it's just fate!"

That sentence made Winter's serotonin levels rise up tremendously. She wanted to squeal out of excitement, she just stayed calm. Both the girls worked on the project together for the remainder of the class, but half the time they were trying to get to know each other. Before they know it, the bell had already rung.
