SUPRISE ENDING TO LEGENDARY TWIWIZARD TOURNAMENT

JUNE 24, 1995

When the Ministry of Magic announced the infamous Triwizard Tournament was to be hosted at Hogwarts this year, the Wizarding World exploded with excitement. But nothing can quite top the uproar caused by this twist ending to the games.

The Tournament was supposed to end with Harry Potter, Victor Krum, Cedric Diogary or Fleur Delacor emerging from the Third Task's maze with the Triwizard Cup and a triumphant smile.

Unfortunately, that's far from reality.

Harry Potter- Hogwart's second champion- Apperated to the front of the maze, Cup in one hand, Credric Diogary's body in the other, claiming that the greatest Dark Wizard of all time, You-Know-Who, has returned. Credric's parents have refused our request for an interview.

Of course, any mad man looking for some attention could claim such a thing. But Potter's unique background with You-Known-Who, plus the body of his fellow champion, makes a slightly more convincing case.

"Cedric Diggory's death was a tragic accident," Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge said firmly during our interview on August 12th. "We have everyone possible investigating how such a horrid thing came to be. In the meantime, we ask the Wizarding World to remain calm. The Ministry is positive this was a freak accident." The Minister took a deep breath. "As much as it pains me to say it, we must not outrule the possibility that Harry Potter himself orchestrated it."

The boy certainly has some dangerous, thrill-seeking behaviours. Classmates say that last year, he sought out You-Know-Who's right-hand man and convicted criminal Sirius Black.

"He put his name in the Goblet of Fire, against all odds- against Dumbleodre's magic," a sixth-year student at Hogwarts who wishes to remain anonymous said. "It wouldn't be a stretch for him to do something like this. He's claimed to have fought the Dark Lord before," they added.

"As terrifying as it would be for the Boy Who Lived to be losing his mind," Mintersy official Dolarus Umbridge said in her rousing speech last night, "The Ministry is here for you, and we will battle through this insanity together."

DUMBLEDORE: DAFT OR DANGEROUS?

JULY 7, 1995

Albus Dumbledore is well-known for his 12 uses in dragon blood, advancements in beast rights, and his position as the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In addition, he holds an Order of Merlin, First Class, and a seat on the esteemed Wizengamot. But after declaring his support for Harry Potter- once the Boy Who Lived, quickly becoming the Boy Who Lied- questions must be raised about his mental stability.

"It's a matter of health and safety," says Order of Merlin, First Class member Albatrax Black."Not just for the Wizengotmot, but for all the tens of thousands of people affected if- and when- they make poor choices."

Dumbledore declined to give a statement about this issue, instead repeating what he's told us all before: "The Dark Lord is rising, and the only way we can possibly stop him is if we unite."

The Ministry of Magic is none too happy with Dumbledore's meddling. "He holds incredible influence over the Wizarding World," Minister Fudge declared with a sigh. "And there will be people who choose to follow this lunatic over the government. Cedric Diogargy's death was a tragic accident. Nothing more." The Wizengamot will vote on Thursday we- (continues on page 26.)

How are you? You didn't respond to my last owl for quite some time, I was beginning to get worried. Do they not have Owl Post in this weird vacation spot your aunt has taken you?

Dad was in the papers. It's not as exciting as it seems, he just talked about how Dumbledore is crazy. They really need to find something more original, I'm sick of all this. I imagine you are, too.

Are you excited for school to start? Only ten more days! I've been at the family estate all summer, Dad has work and Mum went along with it. As fun as it is exploring, I'm getting right sick of it all. I can't wait for Hogwarts. And you.

Have you talked to Scarlet or Alura over the holiday? Alura says her cousin's family is visiting- you met Luna once, right?- and they've been working on potions and 'experiments' all summer. I really hope it's nothing illegal. Or explosive. I haven't heard from Scarlet much, she's staying with some of her Muggle family, and Dad won't let me take a Portkey out to visit her.

I hope this doesn't take too long to find you, or I'll get your letter when we're at Hogwarts again!

(PS: Seriously, where are you? You said it's not as relaxing as one would hope from a holiday, and my owl certainly agrees. He was practically spinning in circles when he came back. Wasn't too pleased to let go of the letter, either- I still have the marks on my arm.)

Well, that's enough about me. Pleeeeeease write back soon, I'm so bored I literally sit and watch the grass grow. See you soon!

All my love,

Artemis
