I was so happy to hear that Shay was back
In town
And most importantly into my life
I headed home
3 hot chocolates in my hands
One for Taehyung
one for his mother
And one for me
I wanted to enjoy it
With my new family
When I got there
Taehyung was chilling
And his mother
Was painting
She loved to paint
And she was an amazing artist
I loved watching her paint
They both looked up to me
When I entered
I had a bright smile on
" I brought you guys something
I would get it every year with my dad in the winter
So I wanted to share it with you guys."
They both took the cups
And as they each took a sip
They looked at each other
And she raised a hand to her mouth
" This where did you get this from?"
She asked me
Although
She looked like she was begging for the answer
" from a shop in town my dad would take me there in the winter he said it was the best hot chocolate."
" My husband used to bring this home for us every winter
But he never told us where and we tried to find it for a long time but we never could."
Then she came up to me and hugged me
" Thank you so much for this, you have no idea how much it means to me."
She wiped a stray tear that had escaped her eyes.
And a part of me was grateful
Grateful that I decided to share this memory with them
And grateful that it connected me with my dad
And Taehyung with his.
