Blair's eyes fluttered open, she tried to focus but even with her eyes completely open, everything was blurry. There was a mess of blue green nothingness in front of her, it seemed empty. She turned her head to look around but the movement was much slower than anticipated, her hair swirling and spiralling around her face. Floating. She looked down to see that she wasn't standing on anything, she seemed to be underwater.

Nearly as soon as the realisation that she was under water hit her, she realised that she was running out of air. Her cheeks were puffed out as she held onto the last breath she had taken, although she couldn't remember taking a breath before going under water, in fact, she could remember how she had gotten to be underwater at all. Blair quickly, well as quickly as one can under water, patted down her body looking for her wand but to no avail.

It was hard to explain, but in the blurry underwater scene, it was completely empty and would've been peaceful, however, Blair had a feeling. It was like she was waiting for something to happen, like she was being watched, and as soon as she started to swim something was going to reach out and grab her foot, pulling her down to the depths of the ocean. Her fear paralysed her for only a moment, before the urgency for air snapped her into survival mode.

Blair looked up and could see the surface of the water, she began to furiously kick her legs and push her arms through the water and drag them back down by her sides. She swam as hard as she could, her mind becoming fuzzy from the lack of oxygen and over exertion as she pulled at the water as hard as she could. Though, the harder she seemed to swim, the further away the surface seemed to become. Almost as if she was swimming in the wrong direction. In her desperation for air she began to flail, trying to bring herself to the surface but the light at the top of the water was getting dimmer and dimmer as she floated in the opposite direction.

She could feel her arms and legs giving up on her, her mind was telling them to move but they had gone limp and floated like seaweed, letting the ocean current move them however it pleased. Blair watched the ocean blur disappear and then reappear as her blinking slowed, her mind becoming heavier as the last of her oxygen ran out. Just before her eyes finally closed, she heard a loud cackling radiate across the ocean, but it was too late.

Blair's eyes shot open as she sat bolt upright, gasping for air and clutching at her chest. Her heart was beating rapidly and she was drenched in a cold sweat. Her vision was no longer blurred and underwater, she was now in a dark room; the only light coming in was from the moonlight shining in through an open window. A light clicked on and she turned her head to see a girl leaning over a lamp. The girls face turned from confusion, to worry very quickly as she quickly sat up in the bed next to Blair's and leaned over. "Oh God Blair," she muttered as she moved from her own bed to sit on the edge of Blair's.

"I- I couldn't- I couldn't breathe," Blair choked, she still felt like she was gasping for air. "Hermione?" she questioned, recognising the girl sitting on the side of her bed as her best friend. Hermione suddenly wrapped her arms around Blair and Blair could feel her heart rate slow down as she grounded herself. She rested her forehead in the nook of Hermione's neck, "they're happening again," Hermione said as she pulled back.

It wasn't a question, it was a statement and all Blair could do was nod as Hermione frowned. "You need to tell Mrs Weasley," she said but Blair heard a groan come from where Hermione had just got up, her head shot to the side to see a red-headed girl roll over and grimace when her eyes came into contact with the light. "What's going on?" the red-headed girl whined as she pushed her messy hair away from her eyes.

She opened them slightly and the sight of a very pale looking Blair, and a very concerned looking Hermione was enough to wake her up. Ginny sat up in the bed she had been sharing with Hermione and scooted to the edge of it so she was near Hermione and Blair. "Nightmare?" she asked and Hermione nodded as she gave Blair's hand a reassuring squeeze. "What happened in it?" Ginny asked and Blair strained to think, this always seemed to happen.
