you and ed had a long day and so you both agreed on taking a relaxing bath. with bubbles of course (edmunds idea may i add).
you thought the bath was kind of getting boring so you brought up the idea of playing a game that includes guessing what you write on each other's back. he agreed but it took a lot of convincing.
it was the last round and it was edmunds turn. he wrote something you couldn't make out the first time
-"i don't know write it again."
-"hey there's no second tries."
-"cmon ed."
-"fine"
he wrote it again and it popped in your brain.
edmund just wrote he loved me
but you wanted to hear it actually come out of his mouth
you leaned back and laid your back on his chest
-"idk what was it?" you asked smiling while looking into his soft brown eyes
-"nice try but the rules say-"
-"oh cmon tell me i'm out of guesses."
-"nope sorry"
with that you got up out of the bath and grabbed your towel, wrapping it around your body
-"wait where are you going?" he asked completely confused
-"well i guess if you won't tell me the games over and so is the bath."
you started to walk away when he called your name.
-"y/n"
you quickly turned around with water still dripping down your back and your hands holding the towel
he looked down at the water
-"i wrote i love you" he said at a tone you could just barely hear
finally he looked back up at you
you smiled and chuckled and there sat a completely puzzled edmund.
-"i know. i just wanted to hear you say it."
-"you've got to be kidding me!" he yelled when a big smile grew on his face and stood up to grab his towel
you knew what was about to happen so you turned around quickly and ran until edmund caught up with you and wrapped his arms around your waist and started tickling you
-"now i'm not letting you go until you say it back."
in between laughs you eventually gave out a weak i love you too
-"okay! okay! i love you too edmund pevensie!"
he stopped tickling you and you turned to face him and pressed your lips against his.
