It was raining. She looked out the window as the water droplets from the ceiling slowly dripped down to the glass. One would drop and combine with another droplet, making it heavy as it raced towards the bottom of the windowpane. She let out a sigh, glancing at the door every so often, waiting for his return. She never expected him to be on time though, Kakashi was always tardy. She would complain to his students that he was late for countless things and they would just laugh, knowing he showed up late to every single one of their lessons. His students were easily the rowdiest group of ninjas in all of Konohagakure. Naruto being the loudest, Sakura being the most easily peeved and Sasuke being the brashest; they brought a lot to Kakashi's plate as a sensei. But, over the time she's known him she has realized Kakashi is very patient with whom he decides to associate with. Even his rivals applaud him with this. How anyone could have anything against him is the real question. Lost in her train of thought, Kakashi (not on cue) swings open the door. She immediately locks eyes with him, his hair a spiked mess and his headband covering his eye. And his mask of course. She hated his mask. She said it covered too much of his handsome face. He disagreed. She leaped up and out of her seat and immediately tackled Kakashi with a tight hug.

" I missed you!" She muffled into his chest. He smelt of cedar and must.

"I missed you too" He let out a deep chuckle. He poked the top of her head as a sign for her to look at him. She gently raised her head so her chin was rested on his chest. Under his mask laid a smile as he lifted her up and placed her back onto the couch.

"Noooo I was here for the past hour, why'd you put me back?" She dramatically whined, exaggerating her movements of frustration. He simply just laughed as he removed his headband, mask, and jacket. Only leaving his semi-baggy blue pants and black long sleeve.

"Simple. I wanna talk to you and this is the most comfortable place in the house" He stretched his arms up and exposed the V line of his abdomen. She darted her eyes up and down very obviously delighted at such a sight. Kakashi tilted his head and gave a serious expression,

"You're a terrible ninja if you thought that eye movement was at all subtle" She let out a huff and felt her ears turn red. He sat next to her,  gently stroking her knee which sent shivers down her spine.

"I'm only kidding, can we talk about our day now?" His voice became soft and gentle. It was like melted butter. She loved hearing him talk.

"Ah, today was..." She lost her train of thought as she glared at the window. Like she did before, staring at the raindrops. She had done something bad a couple of hours after Kakashi had left for training. Kakashi was a bit of a slob. He would leave his things everywhere. Glasses, socks, kunai, anything you could imagine. Although it came as a surprise when she saw one of Kakashi's Icha Icha novels left open on the kitchen counter. They were his most prized possession and he has never once left them lying around. They were always placed delicately in order on his bookshelf.  As she went to reach over and pick it up, she accidentally knocked over a glass of matcha tea and the whole novel was soon soaked in a green liquid. She tried her hardest to get it out but failed, leaving the papers both green and soggy.

"I'm sorry" She sighed and slung her head down. Kakashi moved closer, more concerned and worried. She was usually very excited to tell him about her day. The sudden energy change stirred in the room and Kakashi needed to know why.

"But you didn't do anything wrong... Why are you sorry?" "I just-" she cut him off, "No I did something very wrong and you're gonna be mad at me.. Or upset... Maybe both" Kakashi looked at her, concerningly. "I'd never get mad at you, you can tell me". They sat in silence for a minute or two as Kakashi lovingly reassured her by rubbing her arm up and down. She got up and returned, the spoiled green book hidden behind her body. Tears started to welt as she pulled forth the mess she had made. Kakashi looked at the book and then back at her. She looked away from him, his eyes were too piercing to stare into. But she could feel his burning into her head. She flinched, in fear when she heard a noise erupt from Kakashi. Except it wasn't a noise she expected. It was laughter. She whipped her head around as Kakashi was holding his stomach, in hysterics.

"Wh-why are you laughing?!" She was almost mad at him. But she couldn't be, his laugh was lighthearted and bubbly. As his laughter settled he wiped his tears from his eyes.

"I'm sorry it's just that... Why would I be mad at you for such a ridiculous thing? Baby, I know I'm a slob. I know you definitely just accidentally spilled MY leftover tea on my book. It was a sincere mistake. I understand." She stood there awkwardly. The book was now a wrinkled mess. All she wanted to do was cry.

"B-but I... I messed up your favorite thing... I would be mad if I were you..." Kakashi took a deep breath and stood up. He walked over to her and bent down so that they were at eye level. He pushed her hair behind her ear and put his lips against it.

"You're wrong. You're my favorite thing" Suddenly, she was lifted onto his shoulder. Shivers snapped through her body like a strike of lightning as he threw her onto the bed.

"Now, I have to be honest with you... I am a little bit frustrated" He put his hands on his thighs as he stared her down. She felt small.

"I... " - He cut her off, "Not in that way... In a different way" Her eyes widened as she knew exactly what he was implying.

    "Got it?"

    "YES. Yup I got it"
