1. Tired Of Waiting

Things with Niall was really complicated. You guys weren't dating but both of you didn't let the other one see other people. Niall was like a brick wall when it came to him opening up about his feelings. You're almost certain he feels the same way about you but yet you guys aren't together. You flirt with each other every time you're together, if you're not in each other's presence talking, you're constantly texting, you've met Niall's family and he met yours. Both sides completely adore you two together yet you and Niall deny dating or having feelings for each other.

Every now and then you'd sleep over at his house for a few days. It's been like that for a while and you tried so hard to not catch feelings because you're pretty sure he just sees you as a best friend. But with his charming character, you've fallen completely in love with him but pushed the feelings away. It got to the point where it bothered you a lot and you didn't go to Niall to talk about it so instead you've tried ignoring him, his calls, his texts, everything.

It's been 3 weeks since you last saw him and he apparently didn't get the message that you didn't want to talk to him. In the mean time, you've met a guy through a mutual friend and you've been seeing each other quite frequently. Obviously Niall doesn't know that, but what he doesn't know, won't kill him. Even though he made it clear both of you can't date other people because he doesn't trust anyone with your heart and won't be able to handle it if someone were to hurt you. Yet, he never saw a problem when it came to him if a girl came up to him and started flirting. But if a guy just looks at you for a split second, he gets jealous and mad.

You and the guy you were seeing, Brandon, met at the nearest mall for lunch. You really started to like him because the more time you've spent with him, the more you got to know him and you were pretty happy.

"So, I was wondering if you'd like to go to the movies tonight?" Brandon asked as the waiter brought your food for you. He gave you a shy smile, waiting for your answer.

You thank the waiter and said; "Yeah sure! Would love to!" He gave you a wink and you both started eating. Right after, your phone went off and you see someone spammed you with messages. Brandon raises an eyebrow. "Everything okay?". You looked at your phone and see messages from Niall saying you need to pick up. "Yeah, sorry I was meant to put it on silent. I apologise."

"No worries, just thought it was an emergency." He is so sweet. Just as you were about to put your phone on silent, Niall called and you let out a sigh.

"You should probably answer that." Brandon said, taking a sip of his water.

"I probably should. Would you please excuse me?" You stood up from the table and walked outside to answer the phone.

"What the hell, Y/N?" Was the first words Niall said through the phone. He almost sounded out of breath.

"Well hello," You said in annoyance. "Can you not bother me, I'm having lunch with- never mind."

"Well in case you haven't noticed, I've been calling and texting you for weeks and you didn't respond to anything! And who are you having lunch with?"

"I have noticed and who I'm having lunch with is none of your business." You said sternly. You don't know why you were getting mad at him. It's your stupid feelings that got in the way so you should be mad at yourself.

He stayed quiet for a couple seconds. "Are you out with a guy?"
