A/N~ I hope you all enjoy :)

It was a chilly night here in L.A. Today was November 24th which meant that there was exactly one month until the Corporation's Christmas party for the employees. It also meant that today was Thanksgiving. I decided to work today since I had no one to spend it with and to make some more money. My boss, Joseph Takagi, made me head of the party planning committee the day before since he would be spending today with family. It was my first day of planning and it was exceptionally difficult.

When I went to clock out of work I found myself staring at my watch, checking the time. 9:47pm already? I might as well go for a drink right now. I said good-bye to the security guard at the front desk and made my way to my car. I always forget his name. I started the car and made my way to the bar.

The bar was surprisingly empty, a rare sight, but then again it was Thanksgiving. There were a couple of people grouped up at a table in the far left corner but besides that there was only one person at the counter. From what I could see, since his back was towards me, he looked handsome. He had a lean figure and was wearing a suit, an expensive looking suit at that. I decided to walk up to where he was.

"What'll it be?" The bartender asked as he stepped in front of you, hands splayed on the counter-top.

"I'll have a whiskey on the rocks" I said as I eased into the bar stool. Last Christmas was playing through the speakers of the bar. I took a small glance at the man next to me. He had a glass of whiskey and traced the rim of it with his finger. So he is handsome.

His features seemed to be enhanced by the bar lighting which helped me see his side profile better. He had a long hooked nose and a short boxed beard. I couldn't see his eyes all too well but I just knew he had a piercing gaze. His hair looked so soft, I could imagine running my hands through his slightly silvered brown hair. Y/n stop. You don't even know him.

All of a sudden he turned, meeting your gaze. I was right about his eyes. His hazel eyes locked onto mine which caused me to look down at the counter-top in front of me. The bartender had placed my drink in front of me and I thanked him quietly. Perfect timing.

"Whiskey on the rocks? Did you have a tough day?" He asked. He had an accent but I couldn't pinpoint whether it was British or German. Maybe a mix of both? Not to mention his voice was deep and seductive.

"Yeah I guess you could say that." I said with a sad laugh as I turned to face him. "What about you? How come you're at a bar on Thanksgiving?"

"I don't know if you can tell but I'm clearly not from here. How come you're here?" He said with a smirk as he turned look at you.

"I knew there was something different about you but I wasn't sure if it was your good looks or your voice." I picked up my glass and took a small swig. "I'm here because I had nowhere else better to spend my holiday."

"I highly doubt that. A pretty girl like probably has a boyfriend waiting around for you to come home."

"You're too kind and there's certainly no boyfriend waiting for me at home. What about you? I'm sure you're girlfriend is wondering where you are."

"There's no girlfriend I can assure you. In fact I came in with those boys over there." He said as he pointed to the group of men crowded around a table.

"Really? You came in with those guys? I would've thought a man like you would've been tying the knot with a hot, tall, blonde model."

"No, I try not to be too invested in relationships. The exception being one night stands and the occasional flings." He said suggestively.

"Is that so? Why do you try to not be invested in relationships?"

"I guess you could say that I haven't had much luck staying in one." He said with a tinge of sadness in his eyes. I reached to grab a hold of one of his hands and he obliged.

"Well I'm sorry to hear that. You seem like a terrific guy and any lady that doesn't think so can shove it up their ass."

"I'm glad you think so." He said with a chuckle.

"You know I didn't catch your name."

"It's Hans, Hans Gruber."

"I'm Y/n, Y/n L/n. Now I think I should be going. Will I ever see you again Hans?" I said as I stood up.

"Why not tomorrow morning when we wake up in bed together?" He said as he stood up with me.

"I don't want to be another one of our flings or one night stands Hans. As much as I like you, I don't want to do that just yet." I said as I put my hands on his chest.

"Well I'll be here tomorrow night at around 9 if you want to see me again."

"Then I'll see you tomorrow night. Goodnight Hans." I said as I kissed him on the cheek.

"Goodnight Y/n." He said
