"Who is he? Why do we really need to find him and have a talk to him?" I asked, sounding irritated.
Here I am again being asked to do a showbiz report, when I don't want to be in that field at all. Cause for what though? Talking and asking staff about their life and career?! Where's the thrill?
I only love doing my job on crime scenes, because I love thrill and I love seeking justice for the person who I am forecasting too.
"He's a film director, he just finished a hit drama and is starting a new one again, and people think it will also be a big hit, that's why we need to talk to him about some stuff, inspiration, motivation and such..." My buddy, Clain, said.
I glared at him with no emotion.
"I'm not doing that." I said and stood up to fix my clothes and ready to go home.
"But buddy! This can also be your big hit, it will be your first showbiz report!" Clain said while still following me.
"Just let them find another reporter, besides," I look at him before going out of the room, "a lot will be dying to have that showbiz report knowing they want to see a lot of celebrities close up." I said and went out of the room.
"You are the only choice for this... you are the only one capable of asking relevant questions, and the heads know you won't mess up." He said, still following me in the parking.
"Still no." I said dominantly.
"You can be an artist too, if ever this director will like you, cause you know, you got the looks!" He said after closing my car door again.
I'm honestly getting irritated now, I want to punch him.
"Do you think I wanted to be a celebrity? That's not on my list after all. Interviewing a showbiz personality, getting involved in a showbiz personality, dating out a showbiz personality, anything about showbiz," I look at him with no emotion. "Is a no." I said with authority and irritation.
I opened my car door again but he closed it again. I'm already glaring at him with anger. My patience is now gone.
"A hundred thousand, for one interview." He said he was already using his last card.
I uttered a curse and closed my eyes thinking about that money. I grip my bag tightly. F*ck why do I even have to doubt?
I sighed in defeat, I won't do this If I really don't need the money.
"Fine." I looked at him with tired eyes.
He smiled happily, he looked like someone who won a lottery.
"Then it's a deal, Ms. Clarrio." he said and reached out for my hands.
I rolled my eyes and shook his hands.
"Deal."
