Let It Go

It had been about seven months now since Cruz and Storm had talked. She'd see him at every race, but there wasn't one where he chose to speak with her. Over time, she stopped caring so much about it. She eventually learned to let it all go. Even though the whole thing had to end in such a bad way, she knew that only in the end that it helped her become more mature. Blake had won the last race. The Grand Supreme 2020. He'd been doing great for a rookie. He hadn't won every race but he won a lot of them. He had won 2 Piston Cups this year and it looked like he wasn't stopping there.

It seemed as though Cruz might have gotten closer to him by accident. He was a very nice guy, so who wouldn't want to be his friend? She got a personal invitation from him to his after party.

"Grand Party huh?" She asked him raising a lid. Blake looked at her blushing and started giggling with her.

"Awe Cruz, you're making fun of me again?" Blake said a bit sheepishly but still comfortable with her laughter. She pushed a tire into his.

"I'll be there! Can't wait!" Blake watched as she left and then turned around back on his course. Despite what a lot of others liked to think of Blake, he was actually a sweetheart. He came off as aloof and stuck up but it was because he was pretty shy and socially awkward. Everyone kind of made fun of him for it.

Later That Day

Cruz Ramirez showed up to Blake's place and it was packed with other cars. She saw her buddies Chase, Danny, and Ryan. They rolled up next to her after she was allowed in.

"Cruz! You look great!" Chase beamed at her. She thanked him and saw Ryan was smiling widely at her as well. Danny however wasn't smiling like he normally did. Lately she hadn't been really talking to Danny but they were still friends. She didn't think the other guys would notice, but they did. They all drove to the oil bar and Cruz could not believe how large the place was. Blake owned all of THIS???? Why did the guy seem so humble all of the time. He had the biggest mansion she'd ever been in. She was in awe of the place. She wandered off not really realizing it. Her buddies stayed at the bar.

She continued wandering around until she came across the fountain set in center of the big lobby room. There were a few other cars there but they were too busy chatting to realize the piece of art that was there. She was enchanted by it. The water was lit by different colored lights that changed from a deep blue to a purple and then to white. It was really beautiful. She then heard a familiar low purring sound of an engine. Then they parked right next to her.

"You like it?" It was Blake who was there with her. She slightly smiled in response, and he took it as a yes. She looked at him.

"Blake this...it's beautiful..." Her eyes trailed to the walls and noticed that there was a lot of art pieces scattered throughout. Then she blinked her eyes and went up towards them. Blake followed her slowly. She was impressed by what she was looking at. She couldn't believe how beautiful they all were, she then noticed they were actually photographs. They were professionally taken and edited.

"Wow...These are really gorgeous..." She seemed to say without really knowing what she said. It just came out naturally. Blake blushed and smiled. "Thank you...I took them." She looked at him surprised. "I would have never thought you to be the type of guy...I'm sorry is that offensive?" She looked at him nervously.

"No offense taken. I get that a lot." His lids lowered and gave her a reassuring look. She drove next to the wall to look at the rest of the pictures hanging on the wall, the Tesla following close behind her. She then stopped at the end and then saw a picture of Radiator Springs. Her eyes continued to look at the next pictures over and there were more of Radiator Springs.
