Everyday after the incident near Hagrid's shack nothing was the same. I couldn't even look at Malfoy without blushing, even just thinking about him made my heart pound.

What made the whole situation worse was that I was a Gryffindor and he was a Slytherin... sworn enemies. It's always been that way, Slytherins like to cause trouble and Gryffindors like to stop them from causing trouble... therefor causing arguments.

I was a smart ass and always had quick remarks which made Malfoy flustered. He couldn't stand being proven wrong or somebody being smart with him. I never cared... I tried my hardest to anger Malfoy, at all times.

But after a while he would give me butterflies, but how?

I always hated him... The moment I walked into Hogwarts in my first year I hated him.

-Flashback to First day at Hogwarts-

Draco's POV...
Woah is that Mckayla Kelly?.... I swear i've heard that last name in the weekly paper before.

Omg I remember... it was when her mother was sent to Azkaban. I remember, the paper said...

~Weekly News~
Paige Kelly has been sentenced to life in Azkaban due to her going crazy and trying to kill her Family. She left behind her daughter Mckayla Kelly and her husband Jonathon Kelly.

Hah, I can't believe Mckayla goes here... I should tease here for her excuse of a mother.

*walks up to Mckayla and looks her up and down*

*thinks as I get close up to her* Wow she is really pretty, her eyes... are uh really beautiful.
Woah.. that was weird anyways..

Hey.. Mckayla, Isn't your mother rotting in Azkaban. Haha imagine your own mother being in Azkaban... Must be pretty embarrassing.

Mckayla's POV....

Woah who is that? I said to Hermione while pointing at a charming blonde boy.

Haven't you heard, his father is a death eater who works for the one who must not be named, Hermione said.

I couldn't stop looking at him until I saw him walking my way. He stopped in front of me and looked me up and down.

After staring at me for a few second he said something about my mother.

It was so embarrassing, nobody knew about my mother but clearly he read the paper. I hated him for that... it made me so angry, i didn't know what to do.

Before he could see me cry Hermione grabbed my hand and pulled me into our dormitory.
