【7】Decorations

𝐓𝐨𝐛𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐯

I was sitting on the couch watching TV. Jane was setting up decorations around the house with Clockwork, Slenderman, and Ej. I was excited for Christmas but at the same time not happy. When i was younger, me and Lyra used to celebrate Christmas but it wasnt special in anyway. We never got gifts but beatings instead, my mother and 'father' weren't so angelic, even on a holiday. My mom wouldn't even act like it was a holiday, she would do her usual and wouldn't give two fucks about us. Our dad? Not even our father. I call him Richard, he was never a father in anyway. He abused me and Lyra every chance he could get, which was usually all the time. Richard didn't celebrate Christmas but he did enjoy making our lives hell. Before I even know it my eyes are starting to get puffy. "You okay?" I hear someone say. I turn my head to see Jane "w-wha? Yes! I-im o-okay." Jane wasnt buying it. She hugged me and already knew I was upset. "What's wrong Toby?" I didnt wanna cry infront of Jane, she was one of the only people I trusted but she would probably think I'm weird or a freak. Nobody likes me, that's what everyone told me before I was Ticci Toby. I was so caught up with those thoughts. I didnt even know I was crying. "Aw, it's alright Toby." Clockwork had taken notice to me crying and came over "what's going on? Did Masky hurt you?" Clockwork was pissed but concerned for me at the same time. "Hes just upset Clockwork." Jane said whilst patting my back "oh." Clockwork sat down next to me. "You can tell us what happened if you want Toby, we just wanna make you feel better." Clockwork said. "Whats going on here?" I quickly wipe my tears and Jane and Clockwork sit up. "Nothing sir." Clockwork walks away, while Jane explains I was feeling sick and needed some help. "Mhm? If hes not feeling well he should lay down, not be in the living room." Jane agreed, she took my hand and started taking me to my room but I noticed the operator was looking at me. I think he could already tell I was crying. "Are you sure you're okay? I'm sorry back there." Jane was speaking "yeah I'm f-fine" Jane finally reached my room and then hugged me another time "if you wanna talk then let me know, okay?" I nod slowly "alright, I'll come check up on you later Toby." She looked at me before walking downstairs to help with decor. I just stood there leaning on the wall next to my room, numb. "Toby?" I heard Hoodie behind me "What-" I turned around fast to see Hoodie standing infront of me! I did start blushing but he was way too close "o-oh h-hey Hoods! W-what're y-you doing here?" I back up abit to not make this anymore awkward. "I came to see how you were doing." "I'm d-doing great! Awesome i-infact!" I give him a smile to assure him I'm good but at the same time he can still see my puffy eyes, damn it. "Liar." Hoodie muttered but he knew I could hear him. "I'm sorry Hoodie" my smile fades to a straight face. "Just not feeling well." Hoodie turns his head then looks back at me "I'm gonna be decorating the outside and I wanted to know if you wanted to help me, but it seems you arent well." "nope, it's okay! I'll help you!" I smile again "now you're feeling well?" Hoodie jokingly said "fuck you, can we just decorate?" I quickly forgot I was crying minutes ago due to my mood swing. Me and Hoodie started walking outside, it was hella cold but it wasnt too cold that we weren't able to go outside. "Oh, you're finally bac-" Masky stopped his sentence when he saw me "what the fuck Hoodie." Masky looked pissed off to see me. I wonder where we went wrong. "Masky I can expain" masky looked at Hoodie with a death glare "explain then." Masky turned to me "well, I wanted to see how he was doing and I just thought he would be a great help! I'm also his guide sooo.." Hoodie then put his arm around my shoulder "hes also my friend." Masky looked like he was out for blood, MY BLOOD. "Yeah sure. whatever." Masky turned around and walked to the other side of the house to decorate. "Is he okay?" I asked, knowingly he was annoyed by me. "Yeah, hes just a real jerk to people he dosent like" Hoodie said calmly "but I wont let him hurt you" Hoodie lifted his arm from my shoulder and grabbed a ladder, along with some decorations. "You wanna take care of the roof?" He asked in a teasing tone "Hell no." I responded irritated "alright, alright. I'll do the roof and you take care of the bottom decor." He handed me some decorations and some lights to hook up "ask Ben fo help you, hes not doing anything important so he should be able to assist you" Hoodie said whilst climbing up the Ladder. "O-okay!" I run back inside to find Ben and luckily hes just in the kitchen chatting with Sally and LJ. "B-Ben?" I walk in saying, Ben turns his head towards me "Toby? What's up?" Ben asks, ignoring Sally and LJ "I need your help with the decor and lights outside." Ben nods his head "yeah sure, I'll help ya." Ben gets up from his seat and follows me outside. When we made it outside Hoodie looked down at us from the roof "hello ben." "Hi Hoodie" Ben looked up at Hoodie then grabbed some Lights to set up, but not without asking me to let him on my shoulders to reach the outside walls.

I said hi to Ben before continuing my work, I wonder why Masky is so irritated with Toby, Toby just arrived a few months ago. Why is Masky so hot headed? I ponder to myself. Well I hope they get along soon enough, I'm thinking about telling Toby my feelings for him on Christmas or atleast after Christmas. This is gonna change everything but I need to focus on these lights be before I get frostbite

𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐯

Hoodie, Ben, and Toby finished up the lights outside and headed back inside to take a break. Everyone was still busy with the decor but eventually everyone finished everything. Hoodie and Masky were talking with Kate on the couch while Toby played with sally. "Everyone come to the dinning  room." Everyone quickly went to the dinner table to see the operator waiting for them patiently. "Sit my children." Everyone sat down "as you know Christmas is coming, and I have plans for Christmas and everyone. I want to tell you all that some new members will be joining us this month." Everyone looked shocked but excited at the same time "OMG REALLY?" Sally jumped and screamed "are they a boy or girl?" Masky asked "Are they cute?" Nina had a smug face "alright, alright. Calm down children. Masky, I will be handing a folder of their information to you, for you're questions. Now, everyone may leave except for Hoodie, Toby, and Masky." Everyone left with curiosity about who the new members would be, when they literally just got a new member a few months ago. For everyone this is rare because they normally get a new member rarely ever, Ticci Toby was a surprise but these ones were a big shock. Masky was given a folder with information about the new Members. Masky, Toby, and Hoodie looked at the papers quickly, then they finally found the page with all the informational details of the new people until the operator snatched the documents from the proxies "not so fast. I will be taking these, Masky you cant look at their details yet but you can see where they live, all their occupations and more." The Proxies looked at eachother annoyed but they were okay in the end. The operator handed some documents back to Masky but kept the important documents. The Proxies left the dinning room, but everyone was waiting for them to leave the room to ask questions. They all asked their own but they're questions were never answered.
