It was a beautiful day for a stroll at the Walla Walla Washington Zoo, admiring the animals and learning about them too. (Y/n) made their way to the zebra's, one of which looked high. They went up close to the bars and just looked at them doing their thing. While looking at them a zebra put its head through the bars and opened its mouth, (Y/n) thought it was over, they were donion rings. They were about to be devoured by a zebra that looked like it was high on crack, wonderful. They closed their eyes and just waited for their demise.. but nothing happened. (Y/n) opened their eyes back up, the zebra wasn't there. Instead there was a short man wearing overalls, a bow tie, yellow gloves, and a red hat. His hair was brown and his smile was super cute. The man standing behind the bars began to speak,
"Sorry about that!" He giggled.
(Y/n) just stood there completely silent and shocked.
"The animals tend to find certain people...edible " his smile brightened with each sentence.
"My name's Eddie!" He stuck his gloved hand out between the bars for them to shake. Hesitant, (Y/n) shook his hand.
"(Y-y/n)" they blushed, hard.
"Th-thank you for saving me" they said quietly.
"Don't thank me, it's my job! Oh speakin' of jobs, I should probably get back to it, it's time for their lunch"
He began to walk away before stopping then speed walking back to them.
"Are you free tomorrow?"
(Y/n) blushed and nodded vigorously.
"Great! Here" he took out a tiny notebook and pen then scribbled down his number on it, then he ripped the slip of paper out and gave it to them.
"Thank you!-maybe we could have a coffee or-or something" (Y/n) fiddled with their fingers.
"Sure, sounds great! Anyway I gotta get to work now! See ya tomorrow!" He waved (Y/n) goodbye and took the cracked out zebra away with him.
