Chapter 9

*California*

Well I'm home, we were there for like 2 weeks after Riker and I broke up, yeah Riker and I are still broke up. After we broke up no one seen him for the rest of the trip until it was time to leave Hawaii

"Hey" my mom said

"Hi" I said

"What's wrong?" She asked

"Nothing don't worry about it" I said

"Where's Riker?" She asked

"I broke up with him" I said

"Oh" she said

"Yeah, can you just leave me alone, I really just need sometime alone" I said

She walked out the door and shut up it

*a few days later*

I havent came out of my room, only to use the bathroom, I dont eat at all. Yeah I'm a mess. Ive been texting Rydel a little bit

Rydel: hey

Me: hi

Rydel: we haven't talked in a few days

Me: yeah, I know, I haven't talked to anyone, not even my mom, I locked myself in my room

Rydel: what?

Me: I'm a mess Delly

Rydel: why?

Me: just everything thats been happening

Rydel: oh

Me: so how is everyone?

Rydel: were good I guess, Rikers kind of a mess, he won't come out of his room

Me: oh

Rydel: yeah, not to defend him, but I think he really is sorry for messing up, I talked to him earlier

Me: what did he say?

Rydel: he said 'Rydel, I need help, I just can't get over her, I can't get over the break up, I'm in love with her and I hate myself for messing up, I didn't mean to sound serious when I was joking with her'

Me: wow, well hey I got to go bye

Maybe he is sorry?

So I texted him

Me: Riker?

Riker: uh hey

Me: Rydel told me what you said

Riker: of course she did

Me: do you want to try being friends?

Riker: yeah

Me: come over

Riker: k

A little bit later there was a knock on my bedroom door, then Riker came in.

"You look uh" Riker said then stopped

"Terrible I know" I said

Riker didnt say anything

"Anyways, I want to at least try to be friends for now" I said

"Yeah me too, but Kayla I will always love you" he said

I didnt say anything

"I really am sorry for sounding serious back in Hawaii, ive been really upset about losing you and really mad at myself for messing up again I havent ate in 2 weeks, I havent slept or anything, I'm wondering how I'm still alive" Riker said
