"Dude, I totally beat you in that last game," I said shoving my nine year old brother.

"No you didn't, I keep telling you that Mario always wins on the track," He argued pouting with his arms crossed over his chest.

Wyatt and I were playing Mario Karts and he won just because he shoved me and I dropped my controller. And I won't have that. His ego is too big already.

"Hey kids, stop arguing and come for some brownies," Mom yelled from the kitchen.

Both Wyatt and I ran to the kitchen and was met by the delicious scent of mom's homemade fudge brownies that were waiting on the counter to be eaten.

We both quickly grabbed the brownies and stuffed them into our mouths moaning at the deliciousness. Yup, you just got to love mom's baking.

"Now that I've got you two animals trapped in here, look out the window," Mom said pointing towards the window.

Wyatt and I looked at each other questionably before walking over to window and looking out. There was a moving truck and a black jeep parked outside of the house next door.

No one has lived in that house since I was seven. A nice french elderly lady used to live there and she made the best pastries ever.

She was the one who taught my mom how to bake and now my mom owns a bakery down the road called 'La Petite Piticerie', but sadly Miss Lee moved back to France because she said that it was too lonely in a big house like that.

I continued to look out of the window and saw the new family coming out of their jeep. There was a man who was really tall and muscular and had blonde hair. Next there was a beautiful woman with long black raven hair who looked as if she could be a model and she was holding the hand of a little girl who looked like her mom but in a cuter way and about Wyatt's age.

I was about to move away until my eye caught someone else. It was a guy who looked about my age who looked like a mix of the people that I am guessing are his parents. He was stunning.

I quickly pulled away seeing that he was about to turn his head in my direction and I would not like to seem as if I were a creepy stalker.

"Maybe we could go and introduce ourselves, " I turned around and looked at my mom as if she were crazy.

"Mom, you already know that I'm not good at meeting new people " I said grabbing the last brownie before Wyatt, making him pout. Why the heck is he pouting?

He still has a brownie in his hand.

"Oh yes that," she said, wiping her hands on her apron before taking it off and putting it on the counter. "Okay, Wyatt and I will go then plus you have an advanced calculus test tomorrow so you better go study."

She walked out of the kitchen, " Come on Wyatt, let's go."

"Coming," He called back as he brushed the crumbs off of his mouth.

"I'm going to make a new friend, I hope she is as much as a genius as me." He said causing me to roll my eyes as he jumped off of the stool he was previously on and ran out the door to catch up with mom.

Boys and their egos.

I walked upstairs to my room, grabbed my calculus book and plopped down on my bed.

I was about to open the book when I saw a picture on my dresser, I got up and took it up.

It was a picture of Wyatt, mom, my dad and I at the park three years ago. My dad is in the army and we haven't seen him because he is in Iraq working on something important. We have video chatted but I still really miss him.
