The Truth Unfolds
Bailey was a-well, she was a bad ass. She never listened in class, always failed tests on purpose, always threw things at other students. She always sat by herself at lunch, basically daring anyone to sit with her.
Underneath that rough exterior was exactly what you expected-even more roughness. She wasn't a bully, of course. She just never made any friends. She wasn't like this until her mom divorced her dad, then her step dad started abusing her.
Well, that's what she told the teachers when they asked about her behavior. In reality, she didn't really have a reason. She didn't care about others.
One day, a boy decided to sit at her table during lunch. He had bright blonde hair and glistening blue eyes. His green LoZ shirt stood out among the others, and he had some headphones around his neck. Green, of course.
"What do you want?" Bailey asked, an eyebrow raised as she questioned the boy. The boy just smiled as he looked over to her.
"Nothing. I just want to sit with you," he responded. He continued to stare at Bailey, and she started to get a little creeped out.
"Um... Could you stop that?"
"What?"
"Staring at me?" she asked, and the boy shrugged. She started getting frustrated. The boy startled her when he slid a note her way, having her name scrawled across it. He stood and left, going to dump his tray before leaving the cafeteria. She stared at his back as he left, and she could've swore he disappeared when the doors shut. She shrugged it off as she opened the note.
"Meet me after school at the arcade. I'll have a surprise for you."
No name, just an invite. Bailey started getting suspicious of the boy that was just sitting with her, wondering who else saw him. She'd never seen him before, and if anyone had the guts to talk to her, it would be someone who's stupid. Possibly a new kid.
She dumped her tray and left the room, going to her locker to put away the note. She decided to see what would be awaiting her, and she hoped it would be something nice instead of something stupid.
*~*~*~*~*
Bailey picks up her binder and leaves the room as the bell sounds, the mystery of what would be at the arcade eating her up. She couldn't wait to find out what it was, even if was just some prank. She had always been hoping that someone would try to friend her, even if it didn't work.
She grabbed her black bag and slung it over her shoulder, closing the locker as she does. She walks out the school doors and away from the buses, heading towards her desired location. As she walks, she sees different people in different outfits. She was just in her red jacket and black skinny jeans, nothing new. She had a million red hoodies and black skinny jeans in her closet at home. She never changed.
She finally reaches the arcade and walks in, looking around. She goes over to a table and sits down, setting her bag on the table. She looks around in hopes of finding the blonde, but her hopes slowly diminish as he never comes into view. She starts to stand, then stops when she sees him coming in. She smiles and sits back down, then stops and pulls out her phone. She acts like she's texting a friend, but she really has no friends. The blonde walks over and looks at her, then to the phone. He smirks as he takes it away and looks at what's on the screen.
He sees what she really was doing. She was on her camera roll, going through screen shots of her favorite CreepyPastas. That was the sole reason no one was her friend-every time she brought it up, they would get a disgusted look and walk away. It was cruel, and she knew that. That's why she just stopped trying.
