Misunderstood

Chapter Two

Kai's POV:
She's so pretty. I can't help but stare, stop it kai what are you thinking. You don't have feelings stop it. I huff as I get out of the bed about to go take a shower, Hazel is sleeping peacefully. I wanna get to know her better, The officers here keeping telling me we're alike, did she kill her family too ? She don't seem like that type, but maybe I don't seem like that type either. I need to get to know her better, I need to know what she did to get here, I need to know the smallest details about her. As I was walking out the door I get stopped by this girl. "Kai ?" She yelled out. "What Alyssa ?" I growl back. "Do you have your new little roommate yet?" she asked smirking. "yeah actually I do." I say walking down to the showers.

Alyssa is a girl I use to have a thing with, she got too attached so I backed off but she hasn't, It's actually quite annoying, If I had a way i'd probably kill her just so she'll leave me alone. I made me way to the showers as I walk in I feel very calm. I quickly hurry up and shower so I can go down to eat. When I walked out of the showers I bumped into someone "can you watch where you're going ?" I quickly snapped. When I looked down I seen Hazel, "I-I'm sorry, I didn't know anyone was in here and i wasn't paying attention, I didn't mean to" she said "it's okay Hazel, if I knew it was you I wouldn't have reacted the way i did, if you need help finding anything let me know." I looked down with a smile "Will do" she says while smiling back

That smile, the way she looked at me. She's mine and nobodies gonna stop me from keeping her. I walk down into the lunch area where I sat by myself, I don't have very much friend, actually I don't have friends at all. Pretty much everyone here knows what I've done, that's why I need to keep Hazel away from them. She will know when I want her to know and until then I'm just gonna have to hurt anyone who tries to tell her my secret.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I hear a low voice beside me "is anyone sitting here ?" The voice said, i turned around "ofc not Hazel, you can sit there" i say with a smile. "I was wondering if it was okay for me to call you Haze, I mean I was going to do it anyways, I just feel like it's better to ask yk?" I say. Yuck. What's going on with me? I need to snap out of this because this is not me and I'm not about to let it become me either. "Sure" she says smiling, she has such a pretty smile. Almost makes me feel something. I start eating when I hear someone else walk up to the table .

It was nobody other than the one and only Alyssa. "What do you want Alyssa ?" I snapped at the girl standing in front of me. "Kinda rude you weren't going to introduce me to your new friend kai" she says innocently. "She's not my friend." I say back harshly.

Hazels POV:
Not his friend. I'm not surprised. I need to find out what this boy done to get in here, he's so nonchalant and bipolar. He's nice to me one minute and the best he's a different person, I'm just going to have to keep my distance from him. I pick up my tray and leave the table, putting it in the trash and go back upstairs to my room, I feel eyes looking at me as I go. That Alyssa girl seems like bad news honestly, maybe kai and her have a thing and that's why he acted that way. Even if they do though that's their business, I don't see the boy as more than a room mate. I sigh as I sit down on my bed.

This is only the first day and it's already chaotic. I noticed it's getting dark outside so I lay down letting different thoughts run through my head before finally drifting to sleep.

Kais POV

I'm done eating so I walk up to the room. When I walked in I seen Hazel sleeping peacefully. I ignore it while I walk over to my bed and lay down. Starting tomorrow I'm treating her like everyone else. I refuse to get close to anyone else. Especially a girl. I feel like eventually she's going to start questioning me and when that happens I need to get as far away from here as possible. I sigh shutting my eyes and falling into a deep sleep.

I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes. I sat up in my bed contemplating my plan. I'm confused as to if she'll help me or not and what I would have to do to get her to help me.

I huffed after getting outta bed and pacing around the room. should i tell her? or should I just ask her nicely. What the hell kai. of course you're gonna tell her to do it. there is no nice way.

I head down to the showers to wash up before going down to the cafeteria to eat something. "Someone's up early" Alyssa said coming up behind me. "please shut the fuck up" i snap back. she was the most annoying person i've ever met.

When I finish eating I take my Tray to the trash, walking upstairs after i do so. "Rise and shine" I yell while talking hazels blanket off of her
