Love is a powerful thing. It rips you apart while putting you back together.
I don't believe love is real. The idea of love is just a mixture of lust and obsession.

Well I didn't believe until I meet John Marks. I, Hope Stevens, fell in love. It was horrible, yet perfect all at once.
Here's how;
"HOPE STEVENS COME TO THE OFFICE PLEASE" the loud speaker booms. Nobody bothered doing the "oooo" thing they know I was not in trouble, I never get in trouble. I don't try to be "perfect" I just never do anything.

I grab my phone and stuff, put my headphones in and play some All Time Low and leave.

"Oh there you are Hope, hey I was wondering if you could show John Marks, the new boy, around," The VP, Miss Sweets said.

" Sure," I mumble

The new boy came out. I must say he was pretty attractive, but I'm not one for dating.

" Hello I'm John, nice to meet you.....what's your name?" he asked blushing as if he should've known my name.

"Hope, my name is hope," I say bored.

"Well once again nice to meet you," he said with a smirk.

We leave the office and I show him around. He was nice, but asked a lot of questions about me even though I explained I don't like to talk.

"What's your family like?" he asked near the end.

The truth is that my dad left just 5 mouths ago and life is pretty hard, but I lied.

"Great," I said with a faint smile

He knew I was lying, but didn't point it out. I mentally thank him. At the end of the tour he hugs me. I tense up, of course, I don't like hugs.

" Oh sorry I just wanted to say thanks for showing me around I would of been lost," he laughs.

" Well it's my job, I guess you could call me the welcoming comity," I awkwardly smile. I'm a fucking idiot.

He smiles and walked away to him 6th period. I go to class as well. I hope I have some classes with him. He was different. Also he was wearing a SECRETS shirt, favorite band, so he has to be cool. I go through the rest of the day like normal and head home. Eat,shower then go to bed.
