As soon as I got out of class. I really knew what I had too do, apolagize. Loud kids screames echoed through the hallway. It felt like it got smaller everytime I stepped out of class, maybe it's just me. I stepped through a couple people, and finally spotted him, two books in his head with a couple of guys. I rushed over, and right before I came too the back of him a girl with blonde hair, stepped up infront of him. I turned around, and pretended too listen.
"Kay, you wanna tell me why you didn't call me last night! I needed a ride too school!" She screamed, She slapped him across the face. Wow, your typical bitch. He picked up the rest of his books and started walking the oppisite way. My way. He saw me, and gave the "that girl is crazy."
"Fine Leave! Your mom won't be proud of your mistake! Were over!" She screamed again, and walked away like one of those pissed girls in a movie.
I followed him down the hall, i'm guessing he heard footsteps cause he turned around, and smiled.
"I know, you would show up sooner or later!" He said, turning around walking backwards. He smiled, and so did I.
"Yeah about earlier-" I stopped,
" Don't worry about it, you obvously had some problems at home or something am I correct?" He said, laughing. I nodded, and I can tell that he was a chill guy.
"Yeah, my aunt. She drives me crazy." I said, rolling my eyes.
"So, you doing anything later?" He asked, while tossing his books in his other hand.
"Like?" I said pulling my book bag on the back.
"Like, want too go downtown with me. Got too get my mom a gift." He said, laughing. "I need some girl advice." He said softly.
"Sure, just contact me." I said, I took out a sheet of paper and wrote down my number. I handed him the sheet.
"Well, see you later!" He said, then turned and vanished down the empty school hall.
I walked home, the sky was now turning grey with the sun trying too stick out one cloud. Storm. I finally reached my patio, and I opened my screen door. I saw my aunts cat on the window. I went too my room & sat down my backpack. I felt happy for once in my life. A boy, finally. My last guy I've ever talked too was 2 summers ago. I forgot what happened too him. I sat up on my chair that sat in front of my mirror. By the time I did my homework, it was 6. I put my work up in my book bag, and stood up walking into my closet. I found some old pair of jeans, and a black t shirt. I looked out my window, thinking it must've rained but, the clouds were still trying too force them back in. As soon as I opened my door, I saw Zack standing there in the same outfit he wore too school.
"I thought we could walk." he said, shrugging.
"I'm surprised it has not rained yet." I said, walking down my front yard.
We walked in silence, until we reached the towns front entrance.
"Your a girl, where should I start?" He said, smiling at me. He looked ahead.
"Well lets look around. There has too be something." I said, smiling back.
We walked, and walked. We ended up, in a thrift store. He walked in, picked up a dozen of clothes and went into one of the empty dressing rooms. The store, was spray painted every where with names of different people. Racks hung around the whole store. Skateboards hanging on the wall in the back, I sat on one of the chairs right outside the dressing room. He came out dressed in yellow banana suit. Sorry, but i kind of had too laugh.
"What the hell are you wearing?" I said, still laughing my butt off.
"What, you don't like it?" He said. Smiling.
It was the first time I laughed sense my parents died, I realized that quickly. Zack, was a guy with humor. I liked it. After, that he tried on an Elvis suit. That was epic, I laughed again almost peeing my pants this time. Minutes past & I kept on laughing, I actually felt happy. I mean yeah I know I'm saying this too much, but I've never felt happy in along time. Zack, was the perfect guy too put a smile on my face. We walked out of the thrift store, ending up buying a charm for his mother. The rain began too fall. We hood under a building right next too the ice cream place. Both of our hair was soaked. Rain, slipped down his face.
"Well this sucks!" He said, looking around.
I couldn't help but laugh.
"What?" he said, he looked straight at me and smiled.
"Nothing." I said, trying not too smile.
"It's not nothing." He said, grabbing me around the waist and tickling my belly. His hands were warm, and cozy.
"Stop it! It's just you have something on your face." I said, I lifted up my hand and wiped the white cream of his face. He must've forgotten he had a cream donut, after we left the thrift store.
Right then, he kissed me. His lips were soft and sweet, his warmth sent chills through my body. Wow. I was speechless.
