Backstory

Motoko is an orphan from Kurashiki Japan. Although she doesn't remember why she was separated from her Mother, here's the story.

Her mother was an irresponsible woman. She had slept around in high school a lot and she had gotten pregnant, although she didn't know who the father was since she had slept with pretty much every guy in her class. So, she has little to no clue who her biological father is, although she has a slight idea on who it could be. Her mother has the quirk of illusion, which means that she tricked everyone in school that she wasn't pregnant in high school, up until she went into labor in the middle of class and she couldn't handle the labor pain of it.

She had gone to the back of the school, and she gave birth to her, and she was almost...ashamed that Motoko has the characteristics of a fox. But, she was more scared than anything, so she left her in the trash can behind the school, and went home as if nothing happened. Her Mother had basically left her there to die.

She was found by someone who had been walking out of school and heard a baby crying. What they didn't expect was to find a newborn baby wrapped in a sheet and left next to the dumpster. Her umbilical cord wasn't even cut, and she was just left there.

The kids had taken her to the hospital, and the police were trying to find the girl's parents. She was born early, so she was in the NICU for that, and the fact that she hadn't been taken care of after she was born so they had to do a number of things with her.

The police had found the baby's mother, but when questioning her, she denied ever having a baby in the first place. It wasn't until a few months later that she was arrested and sent to prison for child endangerment along with other things. When asked who her father was, her mother said that she didn't know who the father was.

So, with no one to take care of Motoko, after she was better at the hospital she was taken to foster care and she stayed there until she was two months old, then her birth father had found her, and he had come to take her home with him to take care of his daughter. And they found out that her Mom had been lying when she said that she didn't know her father.

Her birthfather, was the younger brother of Yogi Toshinori. Also known as All Might. Her Dad had said that her Mom pressured him into having sex with her, and he had no idea that the woman had gotten pregnant, otherwise he would've done the right thing from the get go. Problem was, her Father was only fourteen years old when she was conceived, meaning that he had become a father at fifteen, and he was scared. And yet, he was determined to take responsibility for her, and he even revealed that her mother was a third year, so it was really hard to say no to her.

When he did his internship, there was an incident where he needed to go into a burning building, what they didn't expect was the building to collapse overtop of the young man, leaving his daughter fatherless.

In memory of his younger brother, All Might had kept and helped raise Motoko for his brother who died a hero without needing a license. However, when she was two years old, her birthmother had gotten out of prison on probation, and she had looked for her daughter, and found that she had been taken care of by her Baby Daddy's brother, Toshinori. And knowing that she wasn't going to be able to just take her back, she took legal measures and was given the right to take the child into her own custody, being that she was the girl's birthmother.

She lived with her birth mom for two years, until things got fishy at the house. Especially when at school one day, she had accidentally told the teacher that her Mommy doesn't always feed her, and she was often left alone at home.

CPS was called on her Mom, and they found that the house was in horrible condition, that there was no toys or anything that a typical little girl would have. When her Mom was questioned about it, she said that she put the toys in the shed for some reason not thinking that the police would check there, and when they did, they found no toys. Her Mother and Step-Father were arrested for child endangerment, and she was taken away and put into foster care again, and a few weeks later when All Might saw her on the news, he officially adopted his brother's daughter and she lived with him from four and up.

She doesn't remember any of this, however. Since she was so young when it happened. She didn't remember her Father, or her Mother. All she knew about her Dad was what her Uncle All Might told her, and that was it.

At four is when her quirk fully showed itself. Her quirk at the base is her fox like appearance. Fox tail, fox ears instead of human ears, canine teeth, and she was always small in size like a fox, along with extractable claws. But, one day her tail had expanded itself and she was able to use it to grab onto things.

Her whole life, she loved to explore the outdoors. She was always running in the woods, climbing trees, and she trained her quirk while outside learning about the foxlike instincts she had thanks to it. She was always outside and she was always up for the next adventure.

In middle school she was part of the track team, because she wanted to put her agility and great speed into action against other people.

She always wanted to be a hero like her uncle, so she worked on being able to control her quirk and channel it to be able to help others just like her uncle and her father that she heard so much about.

When she was eight, she had accidentally found out about One For All, and she hadn't told her Uncle that she knew until he had a fight with Sir Nighteye and he stopped talking to him.
