The Tellagans

Chapter 1

Earth in a 100,000,000 years-
"Come on Jack!", I yelled as he came panting towards me. " We need to hurry! " We needed to go where no one could ever possibly find us. We had a home type of thing before, but the Tellagans bombed it. So cruel, as a hobby they just go blowing everything up. The Tellagans are an alien race that claimed earth about 20 years ago. I'm 13 so of course I wasn't born yet. But I was told many stories by my parents. But they are dead now, Tellagans, obviously. Just barged in and murdered them. They never told me why. Jack is my brother, and he is 10. He is my only family left so I do everything I can to protect him.
We ran down a steep hill that lead into the woods. They would come looking for us soon. There was only one place"" that we knew of that was still safe. It is located under the ground. There is a secret way to get in that only we know about. Jack ran over to a tree and squealed, " Can I do it this time, please! " " Fine. " I said. Jack touched each of the thin, long branches that were towards the bottom of the tree. " Is it this one? " he asked. I gave a nod and pulled down on the stick as if to break it. But it did not break, instead with ease, it bent like it was wet clay. " Well that's weird " I said. It must have been the wrong one, so I tried all the surrounding sticks. Nothing. I was starting to get worried. I looked around the forest. Are we lost? No, we can't be, I said to myself.
The moon was starting to rise. Jack was looking in the distance. " What. " I said. " Is that it?" He said. We walked over to the tree. Jack pulled on one of the sticks, and magically the grass in front of the tree was spreading out to reveal a ladder that lead down in a hole.
