after the very weird encounter with joohyun and her father, seulgi drove home with him on her tail. it was so awkward. it was one thing when she just got the earful, but him talking to her "girlfriend" and forcing her and her family to come over so last minute? that was out of character for him. she just came to the conclusion that she was excited to see her in a relationship after so long. he knew all about what went down after her mother's death, hence why as much as he wanted to, he never said anything about the multiple girls. he's just glad that habit is over.

she went inside as she got a big ear ache from seulgi sr, causing her to roll her eyes. "seulgi, i thought your mother and i taught you better than this! i get it you were trying to honor your girlfriend, but that does not mean you fight!"

seulgi groaned in annoyance as seulgi sr. followed her while she headed to the dining room to prepare for later tonight. "listen to me, junior, please." her father softly said. "you promised me, bear. you promised your brother. i know it's been hard for you but stay calm, if not for me then for your girlfriend. okay?" the daughter's face soften before slowly nodding.

it's always been hard for seulgi to control her anger. having anger issues ran in his family, which passed onto seulgi. when her mom, kang hyoyeon, passed away and her previous girlfriend left her (he didn't really like her anyway) that's when it got worse. little small things would make her lash out. the only thing that calmed her down was smoking weed and hockey. even though it wasn't really healthy and it caused seulgi sr. to worry. he wanted to treat her as an adult and tried to butt out because to her, it was better than therapy. he only would say anything when he really needed to.

"i'm sorry, dad. it's just you know how i feel about bogum. he really gets on my nerves. he's my rival." the man sighed. this girl must be really important for seulgi to start fighting because of her. "i know, but you have to keep your temper under control. you almost broke that boy's jaw! if i can do it, so can you." the two chuckled. seulgi sr. enjoyed times like this. seeing his daughter was getting harder and harder to do, especially as they're both busy, so spending this quality time with her was amazing.

"now, go pick out something nice to wear while i go pick up daniel from school. this is a very important meeting." she nods as he heads towards the two giant wooden doors. and just like that he left, leaving seulgi to get ready.

she used the really long flights of stairs and heads up to her room, which was on the third floor for some reason. she sighs as she heads down the hallway, feeling nostalgic as memories with her family fills her mind. pictures of the giant kang family branch of each generation were hung up on this floor (it really creeped seulgi out but it was tradition). she stared at each photo and stopped at the current one. her family's photo. it was taken just before her mother passed away. they all looked so happy together, hoyeon included.

seulgi sadly smiles before walking on, finally reaching her room. once seulgi opened the room door, she was surprised it was left how it was. her room was very similar to her dorm room, just the walls are painted a crimson red, there was black carpet on the floor, and way more spacious. another thing that was different was that she had a record player in here, the album covers hanging up on the walls while the kept the records organized next to the player. she closed her eyes and sighed, taking in the smell of pineapple with a hint of her burberry cologne that lingered in her old room.

she missed being home. you could say it was her fault she had to leave because the only reason she was sent away to seoul was because of her tyrant-like behavior during her middle school years. she doesn't regret it though.

she closed the door then headed to her giant walk-in closet, heading to the fancy section of it. she immediately began rummaging through the clothes, hoping to look for something that screamed 'sophisticated, good student.'
