A few months later, Akaashi had warmed up to Bokuto. Akaashi smiled more often, they'd played volleyball together with Kuroo and Kenma, their other friends (Bokuto and Kuroo together were extremely loud, Bokuto was already loud alone), and even had went to the arcade together.

Akaashi lay on his bed, missing the warmth of Bokuto's hand intertwined with his own. He missed Bokuto's excited, "'Kaashi, your hand is so soft!"'s, his constant hugs, the smell of his cologne, the feel of his fluffy spiked hair- everything about Bokuto made Akaashi comfortable and made him feel welcome.

Akaashi's room was plain and simple. Basic white walls, a few pictures of him and Bokuto scattered on the walls, a simple closet, a basic desk, and his twin-sized bed. Akaashi hesitated before grabbing his phone and calling Bokuto.

Bokuto answered the call immediately. "'Kaashi!" Akaashi could hear Bokuto scream. "Hi! What's up?"

"Are you available right now, Bokuto-san?" Akaashi asked.

"Yeah!! I'm free!" The cheery voice responded.

*At the "hangout" spot- Oikawa Gardens, 1:27 PM*

"Hello, Bokuto-san," Akaashi nodded when they met up.

"Hi, 'Kaashi!" Bokuto cheerfully replied back. "Whoa, look at the pretty flowers!"

Akaashi smiled, even though he couldn't see the true colors in the flowers, just the dull grays and blacks.

Bokuto pulled the two of them into a tight hug.

"I missed you, Akaashi!"

"I missed you, as well, Bokuto-san. Even though it hasn't been too long."

"Too long?! It's so boring without you! Time seems to drag on foreverrr!" Bokuto complained.

"I'm happy to know my company is appreciated, Bokuto-san." Akaashi smiled. Again, Bokuto's cheeks changed colors. Or, at least, a small shade difference. The gray turned a light gray?

The two ended up talking for hours until the sun began to set. Bokuto grabbed Akaashi's hand and they both climbed up a large, tall tree and watched the sun set, their hands slowly intertwining with the other's, Akaashi's head laying on Bokuto's shoulder.

"I'm glad I met you, Bokuto-san."

"I'm glad you found me, Akaash'."

(SORRY FOR ANY "IN ANOTHER LIFE" READERS!!)

The two ended up at Bokuto's home for the night with the permission of Akaashi's parents. Sitting on Bokuto's queen-sized bed, Bokuto looked over at Akaashi.

"So.. You don't see colors?.." He asked.

"I guess not. Well, unless you count grays, black, and white." Akaashi replied simply.

"That's sad.."

"Yeah, I do wonder what the colors of the world truly look like a lot."

"...Could I... Say something?.." Bokuto's mood changed in a snap.

He's serious. Akaashi thought. "Of course, Bokuto-san."

"Uh.. I-..."

"Take your time."

"I.. I love you, Keiji Akaashi."

Silence rose. Then, finally, broken once again.

"I love you, too, Bokuto-san."

"Wha-? Really?!"

"Of course. You're beautiful." Akaashi smiled at Bokuto. "One day, I'll see you in all your glory. In color."

"Yeah.."

Nearing the end.. I don't have many other ideas, and I know this sucks because they JUST met..

But..

I'm trying.

So, I've been working on stories a lot lately. Like, a LOT a lot. Perhaps overworking myself. But it's in my nature. I'm a Hufflepuff.

If you have any questions, please ask them. I'm probably going to write the last chapter or two in a few days, maybe tonight/this morning if I can.

As always, stay safe, and remember that you're beautiful and have amazing potential. Don't let it go to waste.
