I woke up bright and early from my alarm and decided to take a shower. I brushed my hair and then decided to give it a little curl. I took my curler and made a few whisps around my hair. I loved how it turned out and went to look for my outfit. I was going to go with my green shirt and jeans, but then I remembered how mom reacted last time I didn't wear a dress. Dresses weren't exactly my thing, but when I did wear them I can tell you that I would always look good. I took out my white dress(at the top) and put it over my head so that it would make my curls look a little more natural. I lastly put some mascara on and ran downstairs in socks. My mom looked at me like she just saw a million dollars. I smiled and ate breakfast. She made eggs and bacon. I was sure her smile would drop when I would on my shoes and sure enough it did. I put my white converse on and made sure that you couldn't see my socks. I got in the car with Scotty sitting next to me and listened to moms complaining about my shoes the whole way. Once we got there Scotty pointed at some guys and I looked over to see all the boys that chased me. He asked if I wanted to come and introduce myself. I nodded a response and walked over with him. Along the way, a bunch of girls and ladies eyed my shoes. I giggled and kept walking. "Why do people make such a big deal out of my shoes?" I whispered to Scotty. He raised his shoulders in response. "Hey, guys! You kinda met my sister here." I waved and flashed my pearly smile. Some waved and others rolled their eyes. "She's your sister!" The same red-headed dude yelled. Scotty nodded and turned to me. Before Scotty could introduce me I said, "I'm Abigail Duncan, but you can call me Abby." Soon the same tall boy I talked to last night started to introduce everyone. "This is Ham, Timmy, and Tommy, Bertram, DeNunez, Squints, and Alan, but we call him yeah-yeah." They spit when their name was called which helped me put names to faces. I was kinda confused about the name yeah-yeah though. I waved, "Well I should probably get going. Come on Scotty we need to sit with mom and dad." He gave me a dirty look, "He's not my dad." I got annoyed, "Suck it up." The boys giggled and we all walked into the church. Still getting dirty looks we sat with mom and dad. We sang and had a good time. Once it ended everyone gathered together to talk when I noticed that they were handing out cookies and treats. I pulled Scotty over and we grabbed as much as our small plates could fill. We sat down and then the boys joined us. "Hey, Smalls you coming to the Sandlot after church?" it was DeNunez. Scotty smiled and nodded. "What's the sandlot?" I asked confused. "Oh, it's the baseball field we were all at," Bertram spoke. "Oooh. Okay. Can I come?" Ham quickly spoke on my request. "Girls can't play baseball." I was offended but placed a bet. " I bet you 50 cents that I can hit it farther than where Scotty stands." the guy sitting next to me says, "Yeah yeah bet!" Oh, now I know why they call him yeah yeah. We all started to leave the church. "I'll meet you guys there I have to go home and change. Scotty stayed with me and everyone went home to change. I went inside and put on a comfortable outfit that I won't get too hot it.

I really liked this outfit and these shoes

I really liked this outfit and these shoes. I love converse so much. I have so many pairs, but you can never have too many converses.  Before I left my room I grabbed my glove and my bat. I then grabbed a skateboard and ran outside. Scotty came out right after and I skated over to the drive to get back to the field. I picked my skateboard up and Scotty ran up to me to catch up. We walked in together and all the guys were there. Scotty ran out to his position and I headed towards Benny. "Hey. Ready to pay up?" I said to Benny. He laughed and replied, "Duchess no one can hit off of DeNunez's heater except the boys. I scoffed and walked up to the plate. Took a few practice swings like the pros and waited for the pitch. On the first pitch, I brought my shoulder around with my arms and then turned my hips with a sharp power, squishing the bug under my back foot like I was taught. I was about halfway through my swing when I heard a loud crash and I finished the swing. The ball flying I took off to first when I saw the ball hit the fence. Scotty was running to get it when I rounded on second. At third Scotty threw the ball. Missed his target and I safely slid home. I stood up and brushed off the dirt when all the guys were staring at me. "Pay up losers," I yelled so they could hear me. DeNunez pulled 50 cents out of his pocket and handed it to me. I put it in my pocket and grabbed my bat. "Round 2?" I asked. They all nodded still shook. I swung my bat again and did the same routine and hit it to the right field. They took a while to get there. No one was in the spot I hit it giving me a start to run the bases. Again I slid home and looked at Benny who was still shocked. I smirked, "Your turn pretty boy."
