R5 Imagine 12: Ross (For Jade)

Hey y'all! Haven't posted anything for a while and I'm sorry about that! You're a ball of excitement and nerves because today is your first date with Ross. You've known each other for about a year now; 13 months ago you and your family moved out to LA and a month later, you met Ross and the rest of R5 at a We The Kings concert. Now a year later, he's told you that he has feelings for you and you were finally able to say the same. Rydel is helping you get ready, but you're making it very hard for her to do so because you can't keep still.

"Oww!" You screech as she pokes you in the eye with the mascara. "Jade! Come on," she giggles, "I know you're excited but you've got to keep still while I do this." "I'm sorry, I know. I-I just can't. I'm so nervous and excited and worried all at the same time, I feel like my brain is going to explode," you get that all out without taking a breath until you're done. "Okay breathe. Breathe. Why are you so worried? This is Ross. You know each other. You're rarely ever apart. You have nothing to worry about, babe," she finishes off your mascara and begins lining your lips. "I know, but what if I embarrass myself completely and it puts him off? Or if he ends up regretting ever asking me out on a date," your mind tends to race when you're nervous and you think about almost every possible scenario that could present itself tonight. "Trust me, nothing could put him off. He's so completely into you and he has seen you embarrass yourself, and it makes him like you even more. You're amazing. He knows that. He definitely won't regret this," she pulls away, allowing you to look in the mirror, at your make up. "Rydel, it looks awesome! Thank you so much," you stand up and hug her tightly. She's matched your make up perfectly with your outfit; which is a cute simple black skater dress, with a denim jacket and black sandals. "Ross' jaw is gonna drop when he sees you. You look gorgeous!" Rydel smirks. You let out a nervous sigh and think: I hope so.

Just as you begin over thinking again, the door sounds. "He's here. You ready?" She asks. "Yeah, I think so," you take a deep breath and head downstairs, with Rydel following behind. She watches as you open the door and stood there is Ross. He's wearing ripped black jeans and a white shirt, buttoned down a little. You're speechless and by his jaw dropped, wide eyed reaction, so is he. "H-hey," he manages to greet you, "Wow, Jade. You look beautiful." "Th-thanks. You look beautiful too...I-I mean y-you look great," you mentally face palm yourself as you hear Rydel giggle from behind you. After goodbyes and good lucks from Rydel and your family, who were listening the whole time, you head on your date with Ross, with no idea where he's taking you.

It's around 7pm and Ross pulls up at the beach. He gets out of the car and opens the door for you to take his hand. He tells you he needs to put his hands over your eyes so he can keep the surprise. You can't see anything as he leads you for about 5 minutes. You know you've hit the beach when you feel sand sliding into your sandals. Suddenly, he comes to a halt making you trip slightly. "Okay, here we go," he whispers, his breath hitting your ear softly. Your heartbeat picks up. He slowly takes his warm strong hands from your eyes and immediately you're met with a blanket in the sand, surround by a basket, which you assume is filled with food and lighten up lanterns all around. It takes you a while to find your words again. "R-Ross...this is beautiful. I can't believe you did all this for me," you turn to face him as he stands there looking at you, a sweet smile on his adorable face. "You know I'd do anything for you. I'm glad you like it," he replies.

After sitting and eating and talking and laughing with Ross, it comes to 8:30. "I've got one more surprise for you," he says, smirking. "Wait what? Really?" You blush. "Yeah come on," he holds out his hand. "But what about all this stuff?" "Oh, I have a few helpers to clear all of this," he laughs, nodding over to the beach entrance. You turn around to see Rocky and Riker coming get out of Riker's car. You laugh with Ross as they wave over at you. "Yeah, I had to promise a week of doing their laundry to get them to come down here," you both chuckle as he leads you further along the beach.

You see a group of people not too far and you look at Ross who still has a huge smirk on his face. As you get close enough to make out faces, you realise it's We The Kings, they're holding acoustic instruments. "Oh my God! Ross, what is happening right now?" You look up at him, excitement running through you. "Well, since we first met at a We The Kings concert, I called a few favours and managed to get them to do a private acoustic session for us," he smiles down at you. You throw your arms around him and thank him over and over again, kissing his cheek lightly. The band begin to play, starting with Just Keep Breathing.

By the end of the night, you're walking along the shoreline with Ross, your one hand in his and your other carrying your shoes. As you kick the cold water with your bare feet, Ross stops, turning you to face him. Then and there, he finally pulls you into a kiss.
