Chapter 9

As the Trolls walked they came across a river. Branch began to build a boat to get across. The Trolls laid down as Branch worked

DJ, Guy, Tiny, Knox, Barb, and Demo were talking. Poppy and Cybil.... well Poppy was teasing him

"Sooooo about Sparky. What are you two lovebirds gonna do once we get back home?" Poppy asked with a smirk

Cybil blushed as he couldn't answer properly. Branch finished

"All aboard!" Branch said

Everyone went on the boat as they sailed off

Poppy went over to Cybil and sat beside him

"So about Violet, what's she like?" Poppy asked

"Not any good. She won't stop till she gets what she wants, and that could be anything." Cybil said

Poppy thought back when Violet had asked about Cybil and Sparky. She remembered how upset Violet was when Poppy told her about their wedding

"I think I know what she wants." Poppy said

Cybil looked at Poppy

"What is it?" Cybil asked

"She wants you." Poppy said

Cybil's eyes widened at Poppy's answer. Branch stopped the boat when they came across a frozen lake

Branch got off the boat and tested the ice to make sure it's safe

"Alright, it's safe just be careful." Branch said

The Trolls got off the boat and followed Branch

Cole saw the Trolls once he saw Barb he sighed

"I sure wish I was brave enough to stand up to Violet. Except I'm a coward..." Cole said

In Cole's hiding spot he used a knife to make the ice crack. Demo saw

"U-uhh umm guys." Demo said

Everyone looked at him. Demo pointed to where the ice was. It was breaking as it fell towards them

The Trolls hurried to get away. Demo fell in the freezing cold water. Poppy stopped running

Poppy ran back and dived into the water. She grabbed Demo and brought him back onto land

Poppy was shivering as she looked at Demo

"You ok?" Poppy asked

"Just cold." Demo said

Poppy touched Demo's shoulder and focused her power to warm him up

"Thanks Poppy." Demo said

They returned to the others. Poppy sneezed, it became glitter

Cybil wrapped Poppy in a cloak to keep her warm. Poppy was still shivering

"We should keep going." Poppy said

"Poppy you're getting a cold. Your powers might grow out of control." Cybil said

Poppy just stared at him

Later, the Trolls set up camp as Branch prepared dinner. Poppy had a runny nose as she continued to sneeze

"Hey whoa! 6 feet Aunt Poppy!" Tiny said

Cybil gave Poppy a drink. It helped her feel better

"Oh I should probably say that the side affect will cause her to hiccup for a while." Cybil said

"I'm not gonna get hiccups." Poppy said with smile

Poppy hiccuped

"Yeahhh sure. Whatever you say Pop-Squeak." Barb said

"It'll last a few hours." Cybil said

Poppy continued to hiccup as sparkly bubbles came out

They finally stopped. Cybil saw Poppy yawn

"You should get some sleep Poppy." Cybil said

Poppy smiled and fell asleep beside Branch

Cole watched the Trolls from afar and sighed. As soon as the Trolls fell asleep he looked at the ground

"I really am sorry..." Cole said

Cole then went over to Poppy and poured a potion on her. Knox opened his eyes as he woke up and yawned

He went to go get a drink till he spotted Cole. He quickly went back to Barb

"Mom! Mom wake up!" Knox whispered

"Nooo. Go back to sleep." Barb said, rolling over

Knox's eye twitched. He bit Barb's nose

"OW!! YOU LITTLE SON OF A NUTCRACKER!!" Barb yelled

Barb grabbed Knox. Cole heard them and quickly ran off

Barb looked around and saw everyone still sleeping

"You woke me up for no reason?!" Barb asked

"No! Someone was here." Knox said

"It's late! You were probably seeing things." Barb told him

They saw a glow from the corner of their eye and looked in that direction

Poppy became a kid. Barb and Knox stared

"Wanna make a wake up call?" Barb asked

"No!" Knox said

Barb sighed annoyed and laid back down with Knox

Meanwhile, Violet watched from her crystal ball and smiled.

"Ohhh it'll be so funnn while she struggles. I just have to get rid of the others."
