"Ya know you can tell us anything" Cyborg added

"Well. I just can't help but feel this is my fault. I mean we all know that Robin is VERY serious about his identity and all...And I just went and bugged him about it..."

Raven put her hand on his shoulder and said,

"None of this is your fault. We all wanted to ask him about it. It's just that you took the initiative to do it. That's all. Robin's just being...Robin."

Both Cyborg and Starfire agreed.

Beastboy gave them a grateful smile and thanked them...

Currently...

No one's POV

'I wish I could tell them. I really wish I could...But I can't. I don't want them getting in trouble...It would only put them in danger. Maybe I was too harsh on them...'

Robin was walking along the streets of Jump City. He was in civilian clothes, he hadn't been in these type of clothes in a while, It was honestly kinda weird.

Robin continued walking with thoughts still swirling in his head. He needed to cool off since he was still a little mad about what happened...

[Time skip]

The bell chimed as he opened the door...There were only two or three people here

"Perfect" Robin muttered under his breath, slightly satisfied.

He walked up to the counter and placed his order,

"A black coffee.Strong"

"That al' be 5 dollars"

Robin paid and took his coffee and quickly left the shop, feeling uncertain. He blended himself in a crowd then proceeded to leave it and go to the most deserted alleyway in Jump City. A stupid decision really. He strolled in the alley, memories of his old life in Gotham city flashing before his eyes.

Robin liked it when he had things under control. He had a plan for every single situation that could happen. He liked to know what to expect. He was trained to. However, when it came to Gotham Robin didn't really know what to expect.

It held his greatest achievements. And his worse.

He could still remember Batmans rare smiles and Alfred's baking or the times he'd punched crime with his father figure.

But he could also remember the pain. The pain of being tortured. The pain of being kept in the dark.Thinking he was never good enough.

The agonizing pain of... your father figure...looking at you...eyes full of disappointment and...Another emotion...One he could never put his finger on...Sadness? Disgust? Hatred?

To this very day, he could never find out what that was. And it always managed to wreck him.

Every.Single.Time.
