Niall’s P.O.V
I stood there holding Lola’s hand as she sat in the hairdresser’s seat; the hair she had left was thin and black it looked so unhealthy, she was pale and her eyes were a pale blue not the deep blue they used to be.
“I know you don’t want to do this lo, but as soon as it’s done you won’t have to wake up to nasty surprises on your pillow.” I rubbed the back of her hand with my thumb
She nodded and closed her eyes, the hair dresser slowly shaved away at the weakened hair. Slowly her head became just skin. But it looked so much better to all the weak hair…
Lola’s P.O.V
The noise stopped.
“It’s done now lo, you can open your eyes…” I opened my eyes and stared at the refection in the mirror, I touched my head, it felt soft. It looked different, where my hair used to be there was now skin…
“How much do I owe you?” Niall said to the hair dresser pulling out his wallet.
“Nothing, it’s okay consider it on the house.” The hair dresser smiled and walked off.
“Lo, I got you something…” Niall reached into his back pocket and pulled out a beautiful pink, purple white and black chequered bandanna.
“Niall you didn’t have to…” I smiled as he handed it to me.
“I know but I wanted too” he smiled as I slipped it on
“Beautiful that will never change” he smiled as I hugged him.
“Come on, the boys are waiting to see you at mine, they want to know how you’re doing” He smiled and I nodded as our fingers entwined and we left the store
“THANK-YOU!” I shouted to the shop there were lots of replies back
Harry’s P.O.V
I couldn’t wait to see Lola, Niall said she was upset about losing her hair, it was one thing she always took pride in, he also told me she had gotten it cut off completely today and that he’s gong to bring her back here so we can see how she is, I’ve missed her so much it was different with having my best friend around, each one of us have taken it hard, especially me and Niall, I mean we all took it hard but she is Niall’s first love he had adored her since we were younger, She was my best friend she stuck up for me and I don’t know how different my life would be without her, I can’t help but think about the worst that could happen…
“I wonder how she’s doing” Liam said to break the silence
“I dunno, She’s trying to keep strong and it’s something we have to help her with” Louis replied
“Yeh, are you going to talk today Harry?” Zayn said to me rising an eyebrow but I didn’t answer, I don’t know what to say, nothing I could say would make anything better.
“Guess not, you’re going to have to talk soon Harry, I know it’s hard and all…” Louis said. I scoffed at him
“Hard? Please you have no idea what it’s like waking up not knowing if your best friend is awake, if you’re going to hear their voice again, or how much longer they have. Louis she is my best friend she has been for as long as I can remember we have done everything together and I don’t know how much longer that will be for, she is my rock. I just can’t do it!”
“Harry…” I spun around and saw lola standing there with Niall
“Harry, please don’t worry yourself, I will wake up, you will hear my voice again, I’m not going anywhere soon and that’s a promise okay? We will continue to do everything together, you see that picture…” she pointed to a picture of when we were younger in a blue best friends forever frame with me her and Niall in it.
“It says forever right? Well my forever isn’t up yet. I will always support you Harry, Just like you are supporting me right now, A rock never moves and I will never move from your side… You got that?” she smiled as she took a step towards me and hugged me tight
“Forever isn’t up Harry… Not yet” she whispered as she hide her face in my chest. I hugged her back and wiped the tear off my cheek.
“Wow lo, you look so much better! How are you feeling?” Louis asked her
“Getting there” she smiled weakly
“Well that’s good” Zayn smiled walking over and giving her a hug.
“Harry baked you some cookies, Didn’t ya haz” Louis smiled nudging me.
“Yeh, I’ll go get them” I smiled as I pulled apart from Lola; I walked into the kitchen… I realized I just shouted at Louis, he was only trying to help.
“Lou, can you come her a sec?” I shouted as I collected the cookies on a plate
“What’s up?” he said as he lent on the counter top.
“I’m really sorry I yelled Lou, I shouldn’t have you were only trying to help, It’s just I don’t know what to do” apart from Lola, Louis knew everything about me, he too was also my best friend, I guess you could say each one of us is lost without the other.
“It’s okay harry, I get your taking it hard, we all are, no one knows what’s going to happen and right now no one knows what to do…” I nodded and he placed his hand on my sholder “we all have to be strong for Lola’s sake, she’s counting on us remember… Now let’s go give her the best cookies she will ever taste…” he smiled as he walked into the living room
“You got that right!” I smiled as I followed. “Here lo, take one” I smiled at her as she smiled back sitting next to Niall taking a cookie, I offered everyone else one, Zayn, Liam, Louis…
“Hey! Where’s my cookie!” Niall moaned
“Niall, I’m letting everyone else have a cookie first because as soon as you egt your hands on them there as good as gone…”
“Okay, well everyone’s got one now, can I have one?” he pleaded like a little kid, I took my cookie and handed the rest to Niall
“Go nuts!” I laughed as he took them shoving one into his gob.
“There lush!” he laughed as he demolished them
