. 2 years later ."George! Get your ass out of there, we're gonna be late! The sun's gonna set soon!"
The boy in question looked up, seeing the love of his life in their car honking at him.
"Hold on!" George shouted back. "Just— give me a second!"
He quickly grabbed a book he'd been hiding under his bed, stuffing it into the trunk along with all their picnic supplies. George quickly entered the passenger's seat and assured Clay he'd just forgotten a blanket and that's why he took so long.
Right now was the 2 year anniversary of them getting together. On this exact date, their lives were changed and haven't ever been the same afterwards.
George had come up with a pretty cute idea, gathering a small scrap book and filling it with pictures of the couple. This took about a month of planning, you know, getting the right pictures, finding a time Dream wasn't by him to print them, etc.
And Dream himself had also brought his own surprise.
But that was saved for the picnic.
.
Dream flipped open the wooden basket of stuff they'd brought, smiling at the new memory they were creating. "I packed a bunch of our favorite snacks, you know."
"Are there chocolate raisins?!" George asked. Dream nodded.
"This is the best! This is why I love you."
The boy in question quickly opened the jar and began eating them to the disgust of his boyfriend who hated chocolate raisins.
"I don't get how you can eat those." Dream sighed.
"Oh shut up, your favorite colors green."
"At least I can see it."
"Fair point."
There was a silence until they both looked each other in the eyes, beginning to giggle until they erupted into full on laughter.
"I have a little surprise for you." George said after a bit, turning his head to look at the picnic bag. He'd secretly slipped the picture-book underneath everything in there, so it was practically perfect.
Dream stared intently as the scrap book with a smile, seeing his name and George's on the cover. He scooted over right next to him. "What is it?"
"Remember how I started taking pictures with my polaroid a year ago?" George interrupted as he earned a nod. "Well.. it was for this. I've always dreamed of taking you somewhere special and in-between the sunset while I hand you a scrap book of pictures of us."
Clay smiled again as a huge book was gingerly placed in his lap, a picture of him and George on their first date on the cover.
"..When did you make this?" He asked, immediately flipping through the first couple pages. "Awee, look at you! You're adorable!"
Dream pointed to a photo of him and George doing finger guns in an arcade. This wasn't that long ago, maybe 2 months at most but he smiled at the memory since George knew arcades were one of his favorite places.
"Every single time I took a picture of you or us on my phone I printed it out." George admitted. He snuck up closer to Dream and hugged his waist as the boy he was holding continued flipping through. "You mean a lot to me, you know? I wouldn't want this any other way."
The more pictures there were, the more tears were sent to Dream's eyes until he had to put the book down altogether and start wiping away his tears.
"Clay, don't cry! I'm right here!" George said happily, engulfing his world into a warm hug.
