There comes a time
When you feel alone
But then comes someone
to cherish and hold

You instantly bond
You grow closer each day
You share many laughs
You've both got loads to say

Yet you still fear
That this person will stray
They'll leave you alone
And go far away

But they then tell you
You don't need to be afraid
They'll always be here
Be it sunny skies or rain

But day by day
You see them change
No more long conversations
No more talks about pain

So you try one last time
Bring up jokes from the past
They don't respond
You realize nothing ever really lasts...

So you just sit there
And watch them fade away
You dry your eyes as you stand up
And then you walk away.
