You had been sitting in the same position for almost an hour now, causing your arms and legs to cramp. You let out a sigh, your eyes flickering over to Jai who sat a few feet away from you.
"Are you finished yet?" You complain, looking anything but pleased.
"Nearly.." He murmurs, his eyes darting from you to the sketchbook that he had been doodling in for what felt like an eternity. He had been begging you for months now to let him draw you, and today you had finally gave in to his charming smile. It was hard not to.
Even though you were annoyed at him for making you sit like this, you couldn't help but smile at how cute he looked when he was concentrating. His eyes narrowed, lips pursed slightly. Your stomach did a flip every time he looked up from the page to examine your features.
You'd had a crush on him ever since you'd seen a Janoskian video that your friend had showed you, which had evolved into something much stronger when you finally met him at VidCon over a year ago. You had both connected straight away, and had been inseparable ever since. But you were tired of being 'put in the friend zone'. You wanted to be more than his friend. More than anything.
Your thoughts were soon interrupted by the sound of his voice, and you perked up a little, twisting your head back to face him. "Hm?"
He smiled, lifting his right eyebrow up slightly, "I'm finished." You smile, your insides practically melting at the sound of his Australian twang.
You grin, unfolding your legs and stretching them out in front of you. "Finally!" Your tone more pleasant this time round.
"Now, let me see! I didn't sit in that horrible position for a whole hour for nothing!"
Shuffling over closer to you, he hands over the sketchbook. Your hands grip it at the sides, just holding it for a brief moment before you finally look down at it. As you do, your heart stops. On the page was the most detailed and defined portrait of you. It was like staring into a mirror. He had caught every aspect of your features perfectly, right down to the iris of your eye.
You look up at him, lost for words for once in your life. Your mouth agape, waiting on those three words to slip out, but as always, they bail on you.
Your eyes fall back to the page, and just as they do, you feel a hand cover yours. Even though you aren't looking, you can sense the smile radiating from his face.
"I want you to understand how I see you through my eyes. I want you to see just how beautiful you really are. And I want you to know.. that I love you."
