It was a snowy morning, Joey could tell as she steps outside of her front door. The air was cold and most of the houses around her were covered in snow as well, as she takes a walk down to get some coffee for herself, she took a glimpse around her street. Lot's of Christmas lights and tree's and stuff s you could see every Christmas day.
You see after Joey's parents were in an accident that left them paralyzed a few years ago, she lost connection with the world and it's activities. Taking care of her parents and brother became her top priority, she never had time to socialize or make friends at all.She arrives at the coffee shop, a few blocks away from her house. You can say the coffee shop is like her one friendly place she
visits. Joey walks up to the counter calling the attention of the bartender, he looks up." Oh! Merry Christmas! Joey" he exclaims smiling. She smiles back .
" Merry Christmas" she says pulling out a few dollars from her red coat placing it on the table. " The usual" she added and he nods leaving to get it. She took that time to glance around the store, it's a small place. She stares at the mirror nearby and it showed her reflection; blonde hair, brown eyes covered by her nerd glasses right on her sunlight facial skin.
" Here you go" the bartender called and she collected it, thanking him and leaving...
She got back home not quite long after, she was about to open the door and her eyes caught a present wrapped in a small box placed at her door with a paper tucked under the ribbon. She picked it up.
She was lost in thought....Who could have sent this?....
