Night was falling fast, as per usual during the winter, and it was making the room dimmer. Niall seemed to realize this a while later, taking a break to look out the window. My eyes followed his towards the window. You could barely even see the sun by now and I felt a twinge of sadness for not seeing the sun set. Then again, I could see it tomorrow and every other day that passed by, but it was kind of like a ritual for me to see the sun disappearing since-
"I guess we've spent too long with the guitars," Niall's voice cut my off from my thoughts. I shifted my gaze and nodded.
"Yeah," I hummed.
"It's getting late, do you want to me the others?" he asked me, gazing intently on me. I shifted uncomfortably. It would be nice to officially meet them all, but it was probably too much of a hassle to him. I mean, I wasn't his new friend or anything, just someone who came by to learn the guitar. He did offer, but it was probably all out of politeness. I had no answer for him and the only thing that came out of my mouth was an "um."
"Come on, let's go," he smiled, getting up. Stupid Alexis, you should've said something. None the less, I stood up and followed him down the stairs. He led me into a large room, where all the boys were. I figured this was the living room, where they usually stayed, seeing as they were completely glued to the television playing something. It was a bit silent as they all concentrated, the two players playing and the others watching. When was approached them, towards the side of the couch, half of the 4 belted out in cheers while the other two groaned in defeat. I winced at the loudness, still not used to the fact that they were all guys and they all seemed to yell a lot.
"Who's in the lead?" Niall asked, obviously into the game already.
"Pft, of course me and Zayn," the winning guy said, turning around with a wide grin.
"It's not fair!" another one pouted and looked up. When his eyes fell over me, he smiled. "Oh hi!"
From that, they all seemed to realize I was in the room with them. One of them looked over to the one who first noticed me and smirked.
"Nialler's girl! Welcome!" he laughed. I shifted my gaze to the television and tilted my head a bit.
"Um, she's only here for guitar lessons. Thought I'd introduce you lot to her. Alexis, meet Louis, Harry, Liam, and of course Zayn," Niall said, pointing at each of the boys. I glanced at them quickly as he pointed. It didn't seem hard to memorize their names just by their looks and personalities. They all seemed to be enthusiastic, saying hi's and nice to meet you's as Niall pointed them out.
"Sorry about the earlier, eh introduction," Liam smiled apologetically. "Nice to finally meet you love."
"Nice to meet you all too," I murmured, giving them a small smile.
"Too bad you're not Nialler's girl," Louis said, pouting. I tilted my head, still unsure what he meant my that.
"Um, no," I replied, screaming at myself for the stupid response.
"You're welcome to stay over for dinner if you want," Zayn pipped up.
"Um, no thanks, I'll have to get home," I said quickly. Definitely not something that came up to me often. "I still have homework to do," I added. It wasn't really true, I mean, I had done almost all my homework during my lunch period and the last thing I had to do was to finish reading Romeo and Juliet, which I pretty much new by heart. Year after year, they'd make us read it and I was pretty sure I remembered it all, but I needed an excuse I figured for these boys.
"Aw," Harry pouted with Louis.
"When do you have to go? I'll drive you, it's dark and Liam would kill me if I let you go by yourself," Niall said, earning a glare from Liam making him laugh. I looked out the window. It wasn't really that dark.
