*LAST NIGHT*

Thomas woke up to the feeling of being dragged somewhere by someone strong. He instantly panicked when he felt a familiar hand cover his mouth. Thomas snapped his eyes open and saw the Glade slowly become further and further away, no. He was beind dragged into the maze. The doors were already closing and Thomas knew that even if he could free himself, he wouldn't be able to run back, because oh God-- he can feel a bone sticking out of his leg. Gally dropped him, dropped a bag of weapons and food and spoke before he ran back: "Be glad it's you we're taking and not Newt. Would hate it if he got the same fate as Senna." After those hurtful words he ran back, reaching the closing doors and making it safely into the Glade.

"See you tomorrow, Slinthead," Gally smirked, knowing Thomas survived a night in the Maze before. Thomas let out a sob again. He thought back to everything that happened. He thought back to every time Alby or Gally said hurtful things, like fag, misfit, weirdo, useless, worthless, how no-one would ever love him. So Thomas set his mind on one goal; proving them wrong, surviving.

Newt was yawned as he knocked on Thomas's door, not getting a response. Still asleep, figures.

Newt walked down the stairs, sighing as he saw Minho. The Doors already opened, didn't they? Before Newt could question it, Minho read his mind; "Alby gave everyone in the Glade a day off."

"Why?"

"Dunno, somethin' about an anniversary."

Newt exhaled, remembering Alby mentioning something like that and a bonfire as well. He slowly made his way to the kitchen. Frypan immediatly scolded him, "Newt, it's only eight am, breakfast is in an hour or two. So don't think you'll be getting some."

Thomas slowly got up as the Doors closed, he could do this, broken bones or not. He gathered the bag, took out one dagger and one kitchen knife and dull butter knife. He could work with that. He looked down on his leg, saw it bleed heavily and with the dagger he cut a piece of his shirt off, tied it around it leg tightly and put the bag on his shoulder.

As if on cue, he heard a Griever. Oh klunk.

He started to run, his leg slowing him down, so this is what Newt feels when he runs? No wonder he doesn't run anymore. Luckily Newt only got an accident because Thomas tripped and Newt tripped because of him, snapped his leg and Thomas felt guilty for months. Thomas pushed those feelings out of his mind and ran faster. Distracted by the thoughts he tripped and landed on his now bad leg. He howled out in pain.

Then it hit him why he was in the Maze in the first place. Did Newt purposely do that? Did he want Thomas gone? Was he working with Alby and Gally? He thought Newt liked him. He thought he could trust the boy. He made it so clear to Thomas that he only wanted to help. Was it a game to him? He thought back to Senna, and how much he missed the boy. He thought back to the one period in his life he was actually happy, and Gally and Alby took it away. He remembers telling Senna and he remembers how the blond got mad at the abusers. The betrayal Newt made him feel, hurts so much. Maybe Gally and Alby are right and he should kill himself. His mind made up a new goal: don't survive.

The day passed and by the time everyone went to bed, Newt had an awful feeling. He hadn't seen Thomas all day, but Gally said that he had seen Thomas near the bonfire that was held that night, he even said he had brought the brunet dinner. Newt obviously didn't believe that, so he knocked on his door, again no response. "Look Tommy, I get that you're mad at me, but at least give me a bloody answer?"
