Chapter 4 Going home.......Again After two weeks the nurse came in and gave Adriana her dispatch form. Adriana, Josh, and Serenity left the hospital with smiles and warm hearts. Josh decided he should drive because his wife was still feeling a little woozy. Adriana sat in the back with Serenity and smiled at her all the way home. When Josh pulled in the driveway he went to help Adriana out, but she was already out and carrying Serenity with her. Josh opened the front door and Adriana carried Serenity up to her room, fed her, and then put her to sleep in her crib. Adriana turned on the baby monitor and then left the room quietly shutting the door, as Josh helped Adriana to their room so she could lay down. Adriana awoke to a piercing scream in her ear about 50 minutes later, she jumped out of her bed and ran to Serenity's room, to find her crying in her crib. Adriana picked Serenity up and rocked her to sleep. Adriana awoke the next morning to find, sleeping Serenity in her arms, I must have fell asleep while rocking Serenity to sleep, she thought. Adriana glanced at the clock, it was 4:47 a.m. Adriana stood up and put Serenity in her crib and went back into her room to go to sleep.
