Niamh was fast asleep on the sofa, I slowly opened her eyes. I had never been drunk before. The dress I was wearing had been soiled with dirt and rum. Niamh was awake now as well, the sun shined at her green, exotic eyes. My droopy eyes met with Niamh's, as we both laughed out loud.
"You know, you're terrible at dancing." Niamh giggled.
"Oh please, I bet you can't jazz dance for the life of you," I whined.
Niamh stood up, walking to the basin room. I sighed, sitting up and walking to the kitchen. I glanced around, reaching into the cabinet and grabbing a glass. I crouched down at the icebox, grabbing the bottle of milk. I twisted off the cap, pouring it into the glass. I put the cap back on, placing it into the icebox. I gulped down the milk, placing the glass down onto the tabletop.
"You look like a madwoman," Niamh yelled from the basin room.
"I know, it's amazing!" I returned, pondering over my ex-abusive lover, how I wasn't able to look like I do now. I yawned, weaving my fingers through my knotted hair. Niamh walked out of the basin room, in her pastel green nightgown.
"Your turn." Niamh sighed, walking towards the kitchen.
I stood, walking to the basin and undressing, entering the basin and rinsing with the soap she left aside. I scrubbed my arms and rinsed them with handfuls of water. Niamh hung out by the doorway, opening her mouth to speak.
"I made oats." She yawned.
I glanced up, "Thanks."
Niamh walked out. Why did she walk in? She could have told me from across the house.
I sighed, getting out of the basin and grabbing the matching pastel green nightgown. I grabbed it, sliding it on and tying the bow on the neckline. I stretched, walking out of the basin room and entering the kitchen. The teapot squealed, I glanced around, Niamh wasn't in sight. I walked towards the screaming pot, placing it down onto the tile floor, and sliding the door shut to the fireplace.
