The day  kept going on as we went home to greet our Uncle Tony and Aunt Dorothy. They had traveled up from Florida as they heard the news from the medical team. Sadness registered in their eyes as they talked to us asking us if we wanted to come and live with them. At first I thought of staying here and getting a job, but how ridiculous that sounded for sophomore 17 year old in high school trying to take care of a five year old sister. Oh I could do it if I put my mind to it, but then again why. Our next option was living with our uncle Dave in Forks, Alaska. He was a pilot who flew a small biplane to deliver medicine and what not to property owners and hospitals here and there. Apparently Uncle Tony had made the arrangements for us to go there if we did not go with them. It was fine by me. A new place. A new start for me and my sister. So that night I packed all the little miscellaneous items and left the bigger stuff for whoever decided to live in that house. Next on my list was to find a realtor who would take care of selling the house for us. Fortunately I found one rather quickly. An older couple offered to buy the house for 200,000 and lived in there themself. They also said that they felt a deep connection to us since they had no children themselves and would be praying that we have a successful life wherever we go. They offered to take us to the bus station which we gladly accepted, and asked if we would occasionally write to them. Having no other family who cared about us I happily agreed. The bus trip began slowly hours and hours and hours. Then I fell into a deep sleep and had a nightmare of the day that we lost our parents. All the sudden I felt a jolt thinking we were reliving the situation only to wake to find the bus stopped in the middle of the road. People were gasping and raising their windows to look out, and as usual I was the curious one who followed suit and did the same. Huh they say curiosity killed the cat. Hopefully that is not the case this time. I raised my window  to look out and find that I saw a huge pack of wolves. Not huge as in a large number, but huge in size. At that moment the wind picked up in a huge gust causing my hair to become a tangled mess  . Once  I got it under control I noticed that one of the wolves gained interest in me and sniffed the air.
Oh no! I hope his reaction does mean he thinks i am food.

I gave myself a mental kick. I sounded stupid, but then again why would a pack of wolves be standing in front of a bus. A movement caught my eye dragging me out of my thoughts. The wolf that had sniffed the air for my scent moved towards me. His orange tan coat rifled in the wind as he moved effortlessly his muscles clear and strong. As he made his way his clear amber eyes met mine, and for a minute I saw something of what seemed human inside his soul. As quickly as i saw it was gone. Like it knew I saw and hid it. He came to a stop at my window, and I felt someone try to pull me back. I stayed. I wanted to see it up close. Despite what my mind told me i followed my heart and stayed. I noticed he looked much taller once up to the bus. He stood and looked straight in my eyes for a couple of minutes before doing what nobody expected him to do. He lowered his head and placed his paw on my chest. I assumed he wanted me to scratch his head so I did. A burning sensation and like a sort a cord being tied between me and him brought my attention back to his paw on my chest. Before i knew he pulled it away and ran off into the woods . as I stepped back from the window I looked at the people around. The bus driver leaned back from his seat and turned around looking me in the eye.

"You are one lucky girl," the man said.

Turning around he returned to the task at hand. Getting them safely to their destination .

Angel:

I watched my sister quietly. The events of the day had warn her thin, and as badly as I wanted to crawl over beside her I decided to let her be. She needed rest. The trip was still on going as heard the gentle hum of tires meeting road. It was almost peaceful  lulling me to sleep like a lullaby.

Uncle Dave :

The news of his brothers death had shocked him. Tony had called him when they got the news and since they were only a few miles from that state they had driven to meet the girls. He also agreed to take them if they would set up the tickets. Only a couple of days . Now here he stood waiting for them to arrive. He did not even know what they looked like or how old they were. What had he been thinking? He knew one thing. He was not going to let them down. His head shot up as he heard the bus. Well no matter now. They were here.

Angela: I awoke as the bus came to a stop. we were here.  There were more trees than I had expected. Realizing how silly that sounded I  laughed. It felt like a year had gone by, but I knew that was because of the tragedy that changed our life foerver. This was our new start. I painted a smile on my face and got up going to the back to get our luggage . As I stepped off the bus I looked around for Uncle Dave. And there he stood tall and lanky with brown hair and green eyes just like my dads. Wow what a reminder. I could feel Angels hands slip into mine as we walked toward him.

" Girls, so nice to see you. I hope your travels were safe. My home is just around the corner so if you don't mind I'd like to get going. No offense, but I have a flight late tonight," Uncle Dave said.

We all piled into his big white Ford truck and drove to his home. It was a neat home painted yellow on the outside. The mahogany door inviting with it's glass windows at the top. Inside it was small. The living room and the kitchen were combined, and stairs led to an upper floor. Upstairs there were only two bedrooms and two baths.
Thank goodness I thought.

I chose my bedroom quickly. It has lace curtains with sage curtains behind it a window seat overlooking a pond. The bed had a mahogany quilt with cream colored pillows. There were two nice hands on each side oak covered. I walked into the bathroom to find a small shower the sink and toilet. It wasn't much, but for me it was enough. Feeling the day's tiredness wear on me I just started to take off my clothes and take a shower . The warm water felt good to my tired skin. Only a few days ago I had lost my parents. It seem like it years. After I finished my shower, I got out and looked in the mirror. My eyes naturally frozen to the place where  that paw of the  Wolf had been just a few hours ago. To my utter shock and surprise I found a small circle in between my two breast right on top of my heart.  As I took a closer look, I saw in the middle that there was a small wolf and the words forever protect. A thousand things ran through my mind at that moment. Why would the wolf do this? Why me? Was what I saw in his eyes human? Could it be really human? My eyes too heavy so I decided not to think about it for now.

I hope all enjoy this chapter. Got to get some sleep.
