I want to die.

There was a little girl in front of me, just looking at my and torturing me with her thoughts. It was like being burned alive, it was like hell. All I wanted was for her to feel what I was feeling. To feel like this was inhumane. But then again, I'm not exactly human, and she isn't either. Then it stopped. The pain had ceased, for now.

The girl looked at me with bored, red eyes. "What is your name?" she asked.

"B-Bree!" I stammered.

"Bree," She said my name like it was something disgusting, like it was inconvenient to her. It was as if I was causing her pain. "What are you doing here? Who is your creator?" When I didn't answer fast enough, there was another quick flash of pain. It was lighter this time, though i dont know why. Maybe I was growing used to it, maybe it was her intention, or maybe she was showing mercy. Not likely, I'm guessing it was the 2nd one.

I staggered up, and that proved to be a mistake. The searing pain was back, and I fell to the floor.

"Dont do that." A vampire said.

Suddenly, I wanted her power, to cause her pain, the same pain she was making. Then a memory flashed. Foggy, muddy looking, but powerful. I was a good child when growing up, scared of angering my dad. I didn't get too many things, so I was envious when other girls at my school arrived with toys or makeup. That wasn't a big part of my past life, so I wondered what was.

Hiding, that was a big part. According to Riley, you bring a big trait into your next life. If its powerful, it will become a power. I wondered if I ran fast enough, will that trigger some hiding power lurking in my mind.

I thought back to the jealousy. What could I do with that?

The girl looked up at the vampire who interrupted her fun, and I saw my chance. I stood up, and ran.

She hasn't turned her head yet, but suddenly I couldn't see anything. I stumbled, and then my vision reappeared. I looked to where I fell, and It felt as if I would die. I was In the arms of one of the Volturi guards. I took off and ran again, grateful I had fell onto the young boy rather than the girl.

I felt the flash of pain, but it lasted only a second when the boy said "Jane, my power isn't working"

Jane, so the evil girl had a name.

Anyway, Jane looked up and said "What? What could you possibly mean?"

"I mean, the girl fell into my arms and my power stopped working. She should still be blind. She should have any of her senses"

"Alec, that isn't possible."

At this moment, I started running back to the yellow eyed coven, and hid behind the big one. He is like five of me put together. He didn't look fearful, he didn't have any reason to, judging by his size. He looked back at me and smirked.
