(Tord is now on his first day of the 5th month.)Tord's nervous thinking was cut short when he heard a knock on the door. He opened it and saw Edd, Matt, and Tom. The Norwegian invited them in and the trio settled down on the sofa. When they did so, Tord went to the kitchen and decided to prepare some tea, figuring Idden would want to do a tea party since she loved throwing them when her two best friends, Kelani and Miranda, came over for a play date every other weekend.
Idden walked into the kitchen and saw Tord making some tea. "Hey papa, why are you making tea?" Idden asked, "Well...I have some news, and I figured we could do a small tea party since we have guests in the living room." Tord replied, smiling softly. "Good news or bad news?" Idden asked, her face tense with suspense. "I guess it depends on how you look at it." Tord replied, patting his daughter on her head. "Now why don't you entertain our guests?" Tord added. "Okay papa!" Idden replied, skipping out of the room.
(With Edd, Matt, and Tom)
Edd, Matt, and Tom were sitting on the sofa when Idden came in, her smile becoming half hearted upon seeing them. Even if it's been four months and a partial day, she honestly didn't know how to feel about them now that she knew what they did. She knew that she loved them like family since they bonded for 7 years, but she was also upset at them for kicking Tord out when she was born.
"...Hey." She greeted hesitantly, yet politely, sitting on the sofa between Edd and Matt. "Hey Idden. How is your new home treating you?" Matt asked, his fingers mingling with Idden's hair, fixing the top half of it into a ponytail. "Feels nice to be with my papa again. He's very kind, so is my father. I know he isn't my real father, but he treats me as such, therefore I believe he has earned that title." Idden replied, smiling softly. "That's good. I'm happy to hear you are doing well." Edd said, placing a hand on her shoulder.
After awhile of the trio and Idden talking, Tord and Sólúlfur walked into the living room, the Norwegian holding a tray with a porcelain tea set, and the Icelandic held a plate of store bought tea cakes and crackers. Both Scandinavians set the coffee table up, making small talk with the trio and Idden while doing so.
When they finally finished setting up. The scandinavians sat on both knees on the other side of the coffee table and ate a bit before they went down to business.
"So...well I...we ummm...screw it! I'm just gonna be blunt. I'm five months pregnant with twins." Tord blurted after stumbling a bit with what to say. "That's amazing, Tord! Congrats!" Edd said. "Promise we won't take these two with us this time around!" Matt joked, but stopped snickering when nobody was laughing with him. He cleared his throat and promptly apologized.
"So yeah...I'm five months along and I thought that you guys had a right to know." Tord continued after a slight moment of silence. "I also wanted to thank you three for caring for Idden when I couldn't. I really appreciate it." Tord added. "You're welcome, Tord. It was nice having her around when she did. She was a handful at times, but ultimately, she was a very polite and caring girl." Edd replied.
(Hours after they left...)
"Alright! Now that that's done and over with, we'll wait until the snacks and tea to go down before I start on dinner." Tord said. "Ok papa!" Idden replied, "Whatever makes you happy, babe!" Sólúlfur added, kissing Tord on the cheek, which made the Norski turn a soft, light pink hue.
After dinner, Idden took a bubble bath and snuggled with Sólúlfur and Tord in their bed, falling asleep shortly after.
