「 ten ; fly away with me。 」━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"Sir, you can't sleep here..." my body immediately jolted up while my eyes blew wide. The man's voice was like electric bolts that suddenly kicked into my system. I rubbed the sleepiness away from my eyes and saw that I was still at the park. There was an officer that was standing right in front of me, towering over me. "Sir, please—"
"Oh, I'm sorry officer... I just spent the night here. I'll be going." without waiting for any response, I grabbed all of my luggage, stood up before giving the officer a small bow. The officer seemed quite confused as everything escalated so quickly, but still gave me a bow. As I walk, I pull out my phone and open the maps to finally go to Haru's place.
After the long journey, or ten minutes — damn, if I knew that her place was just ten minutes away, I would've definitely held in the pain and exhaustion, just to get here. Regretting how stupid I was, I was there in front of her apartment building. I stare at the tall structure before looking back at my phone, just making sure that this was the right place, and it was. I actually regret buying a unit at this place for her. The building looks really crappy.
Sure, the rent was cheap, but I can't stand living at such a crummy place. Our apartment at Ilsan was way better than this abomination. If I manage to save enough money, me and Haru could move out of this dumpster and actually buy a place that's a home to us. I feel myself smile brightly at the thought. I managed to get my head out of the gutters and face what's ahead of me.
This was it, the moment of truth.
I let myself in the building and stare — or more like critique, the interior of the place. It's as shitty as the exterior. Not only that, but security was also shitty. They've never seen me before but they let me in anyways. What's up with that?
Glossing over the front desk, (since they didn't even care about my presence, like, what the hell?) I proceed to the elevator. As I entered the elevator, I suddenly realized that I didn't know the floor of her unit. Shoot, maybe I should've gone to the front desk after all. Sticking with my pride, I just went with my gut and picked a random floor. Which happens to be the 3rd.
Since I did pay for the place, I still remember her room number. I just hope the floor I picked was right. Nonetheless, if I got the floor wrong, I'll probably just search for every floor until I find her unit number. You might be wondering, "why shouldn't I just ask a staff member instead?" Well, me and my introverted ass, along with my pride, is too good for that.
