My backstory

I sit in my apartment studying like I do every night after work. This time I am working on my sociology degree. I've got to admit though I am kind of lost on this chapter. I bet I know someone who could help if I could only get the nerve to ask him. His name is Spencer Reid and he's somewhat of genius. He works for the FBI like I do but unlike me he is part of a team call the BAU or Behavior Analyst Unit. I have watched him for three years wanting to know him better.

Now this may sound creepy but I don't mean it this way. You see back in high school I was madly in love with the guy I thought I would be with for the rest of my life. Then the right after I graduated he broke up with me and left for a foreign country. After that I broke down. Stayed in my room for weeks depressed and weak unable in move on. I buried my pain in school work and excelled at least in that. But ever sense then I was closed off unable to be with anyone.

My cell phone rings startling me out of my thoughts. It's a text from the FBI quantico assistant director that usually gives me all my cases. He tells me to report to the BAU section of the FBI immediately. I grab my travel bag and satchel and head out the door.

I stand at the door of the BAU's conference room. I take a deep breath then enter. I am familiar with the BAU team sense I have worked with them before. Agent Aaron Hotchner stands to greet me. Hello agent Maze, team the assistant director assigned agent Maze to work the case with us because of her psychology experience. "Welcome to the team!" says Agent Derek Morgan. I nod my thanks. "We will fill you in on the plane, wheels up in 20." agent Hotchner says. Then we all file out of the room.

Once on the plane I take a seat next to agent Blake. "Let's review the case." say agent Hotchner.
Agent Rossi begins, "three bodies in three days. each left with a blank bank note with only the unsubs signature on it. Each victims head was bashed in." "Did the victims have anything in common?" asks agent Morgan. "Each was a lone officer at three different banks in town. Could it be possible that the unsub is lashing out at banks that wouldn't give him loans?" I ask. "Yes that is quite possibly nice work agent Maze." says agent Hotchner. "When we land Maze and Reid go to each of the banks Rossi and Blake you go to the latest crime scene JJ go get set up with the PD. Morgan and I will go to the morgue."

Reid and I get into one of the black SUVs and head to each of the banks.
It was awkwardly quite the drive over to the first bank. I sat there trying to come up with something to say, for a psychologist I have a hard time talking sometimes. When Reid broke the silents saying "I heard you are working on your sociology degree?" "Yes I am although I am kinda lost in the chapter I am studying." I say. I explain what it is confusing me. I when I finish he says "I could help you, i mean if you want help" and turns slightly pink. I smile and enthusiastically say "yes that would be wonderful!"

We visit each of the banks and turns out each victim had declined several loans in the past few days. On the way back I had Garcia search to see if anyone had applied for loans at each of the banks. Turns out that a man named Cade Herdsman had applied and had been denied at all three banks.
"I think I know who are unsub is!" I say excitedly to Reid. He laughs slightly at my excitement smiles and say "alright let's go tell the team. " We inform the team of what we know. Garcia tells us the Cade Herdsman has recently gone bankrupt. His wife divorced he shortly after. She also gives us his address. We head over it his house. We knock on the door then when know one answers we go in guns drawn.

We find him in the darkly lit mess of a living room a pistol pointed at his own head. "Cade Herdsmen put the gun down!" shouts Morgan. "It doesn't have to end this way." says Hotch. In my head I know this won't end well. "Those people deserved to die they took way my happiness, my wife divorced me!" says Herdsman. I catch a glint in hotch's eye. I hear a gun shot and cringe slightly Cade Herdsman shot himself. I stair at him for a few seconds. "It's over Maze." Reid says gently to me. "Yeah." I say taking a deep breath. He puts his hand on my shoulder and leads me out.
Back on the plane JJ, Blake, Rossi and Morgan sacked out sleeping in their chairs. Me Reid and Hotch are the only ones awake. I make myself a cup of tea a sit at the table with Hotch. "You should really tell your team about your divorce." I says. He looks at me with sadness in his eyes. how did you know he asks. "Im good at reading people." I say, "oh and don't let it stop you from being there for your son he needs his dad." I say,  then get up and walk over to Reid. He is reading a book but I can't tell which one. I sit down beside him. "Hi there!" I say. He shuts his book, smiles shyly and replies "hey. How are you doing?" he asks. I smile and say "I am doing alright." "Hey um after we get back would you um like to go like get some coffee or something, I could help you with you sociology?" Reid says turning slightly red. "Absolutely!"I say grinning.
I was so excited even if it was just as friends.
