Releve', plie'.
As always, Kasai expertly and gracefully moved, her beautiful emerald green eyes closed. And as always, she was just going through.the motion. Releve', plie', repeat. Slowly she extended her left arm, repeating over and over.
This dreary world. Her repetitive life. Wake up, come to school, ballet, go home, eat, shower, sleep. Over and over and over. The same people, the same faces over and over that blurred from her vision. But she loved dancing.
Though most of the girls thought she just took it to pass the time, they were wrong. Ballet was her one joy. Her passion.
Kasai danced with the fiery passion of her name - which of course meant fire. In the end, this made her the best ballet dancer since the legendary Rue, whom still attended. Though Kasai was quite tired of the glares she frequently recieved from the brown haired girl.
Kasai's own fiery hair danced over her alabaster shoulders, giving off the appearance of flickering flames everytime she moved. But the one thing Kasai had grown to fear was coming true. She was beginning to grow bored of dancing. Lately, it was just the same thing over and over and over again. Though, according to Mr. Cat, there would be a session soon with both boy and girl classes. Kasai could only wonder if it would be interesting; after all, it was complicated to interest her anymore.
Kasai balanced easily on en-pointe, preforming the arabesque, with her leg stretched out straight behind her, parallel with the floor. She balanced like that in her black pointe shoes for a long while, before slipping skillfully into the bourree. Her black feather like skirt brushed the pale skin of her legs, reminding her to keep her steps compact. The fiery haired girl proceeded to leap into the assemblé, before landing in third position, pushing back onto en-pointe and finishing her preformance with fouetté en tournant.
She recieved light clapping as always, and shuffled silently to her seat, placing her head in her cupped hands. The rest of the day went by in a blur of dancing, speaking, and sighing. Kasai rested her pale chin in her intertwined fingers, frowning ever so slightly.
The bell's echoing ring hit her ears, and Kasai sighed in relief, standing without a word. Soundlessly, she glided out of the room, gaze blank of emotion. As always, she was just going through the motion. A white haired boy in the corner of her eye caught her attention. Turning her head slightly, she recognized him as Yuki, a boy from the theater arts devision - and one of her few friends.
"Kon'nichiwa, Yuki-kun." She greeted, walking over to him quietly.
"Kon'nichiwa, Kasai-san." He answered in return, turning his strange golden eyes on her.
"How's theater?"
"Good."
They sat together in silence for a long while, listening to the steady stream of the fountain in the center of the court. Quiet chatter sounded around the two as other people walked by, heading home.
"How's ballet?" Yuki finally asked.
"Repetitive."
Yuki closed his eyes momentarily, before opening them once more and gazing at her for a long while. Kasai didn't pay attention to the snowy haired boy, watching as her own hair gave of the appearance of flames as it flickered with the wind.
"Sayōnara, Yuki-kun." She said simply, standing up and walking away without a sound.
The closer she got to the dorms, the quieter it got. She hummed quietly under her breath, her head lowered. Of course, this resulted in her colliding with somebody.
Unprepared for this, both she and the stranger fell back with a shout of surprise. Both sat up and glared at the other. Kasai narrowed her eyes more. It was a dark haired boy with intense green eyes that seemed to stare into her soul, picking out her deepest, darkest secrets. Shaking her head to clear it, Kasai saw the black haired boy's eyes widen.
"Something wrong?" She asked, almost boredly.
The boy scoffed. "As if."
Kasai rolled her clear, emerald green eyes. "Whatever."
Without waiting for the boy's response, Kasai continued on her way to the dorm, only glancing back as she felt eyes burning into her back. The boy looked away, disappearing into the gates of the boys' dorm. Kasai rolled her eyes once more, entering the girls' dorm. She trudged silently up the stairs to the top floor, where she went to thd last room at the end of the corridor. Her room. Entering without a word, she made her way to the window and pushed it open, sticking her head out. Her hair flew to one side, looking like a flag of fire. Kasai sighed. Tomorrow would be the same. And the next day. And the next...
