monday

10 more minutes till the bell rings. I started packing up my supplies as I've finished the assignment early, putting my mechanical pencil into my pencil case and my worksheet into my folder. I zip up my backpack quietly and rest my head on my palm, waiting for class to end. I gaze around the room too see if others were done as well, but majority were still working on their paper. My gaze found its way to the front right of the room, which became a common occurrence as of late.

My eyes settled on you, who also seemed busy with the paper.

Lee Minho. What attracted me to you? Was it because you seemed so friendly? I noticed how you always said "bless you" whenever anyone sneezed, and that you always said thank you whenever someone opened the door for you. Is it silly of me to care so much about such little things?

I can't help but think back to all the brief interactions we had. How you opened the door for me when I entered the gym in search of Felix. Or when I dropped the papers I was tasked with passing out and you got out of your seat to help me pick them up despite everyone else in the classroom minding their business. Is it stupid to hold these interactions close to my heart, as if they have any meaning, as if I was special to you? I'm sure you would have done the same towards anyone, but that itself is admirable, your kind-heartedness.

I hoped to get to know you more considering we're working on a project together, but you were quite quiet this Saturday, to my surprise. It's just that I'd often see you surrounded by friends whenever I pass by your locker, and your table could be heard from across the cafeteria where I sat in the corner with my 3 friends. From my observations you seemed talkative and I assumed you were a social butterfly. Maybe only with your friends you're like that.

Admittedly your beauty also captivated me. Your face looked like it was sculpted by Greek gods out of their finest porcelain, but maybe I'm being dramatic. Your features were just so perfect to me. Your honey brown hair complimented your golden skin. Your eyes were sharp, but they also had a softness to them. The corners of your lips would curl up whenever I saw you smiling or laughing. Maybe I've been paying more attention to you than the class itself.

"Confess already, you look at him like you're in love," I hear a voice next to me say.

I stare at the kid next to me with my brows furrowed.

"Minho, right?" he whispers in my ear.

"Don't say it out loud!" I say as I hit Jeongin on the shoulder.

The ringing of the bell interrupted our conversation, thankfully, and I got up and hesitantly walked toward Minho. We said we were going to finish our part of the project today after school. I fix my hair as I approach him and readjust my baby blue hoodie.

Earlier this morning

"Felix, I'm gonna hang out with him today again, after school!"

"I don't know if working on an assigned project together is considered a hang out."

"Whatever! Anyways, what do I wear! Aren't you like his friend, what's his type?" I yell into the phone as I search my closet for potential outfits.

"Bruh I don't know, wear his favorite color or something," Felix suggests.

"Ah okay!" I say as I rummage through, trying to find the baby blue hoodie I've had for years now. It still looked new as I usually opted to wear all black most days.
