It was a beautiful sunny day in the forest.

On a riverside, stood a young girl picking grass-sorry, Sintarect as Landolf called it, a plant that looks like plain grass but isn't and only grows inside this forest, like many other rare plants here. which makes for the perfect place for a herbalist like Landolf, he explained when I asked him about the reason he lived here, isolated.

he said it makes it easier for his work, plus he likes the quietness of being away.

Two weeks have passed since I met Landolf, which would make it three weeks since I reincarnated/transmigrated here.

I am fitting in great considering the only people I know and interact with are a dwarf and a Bel.

I was instructed by Landolf to pick some herbs he needed for his work. but now I'm just confused as I couldn't distinguish which from which, he's the one that usually does it but as I was going to stay with him he felt the need for me to have some knowledge of his work and to see if I had learned my way through the forest yet, so that's how I ended up here.

But god damn, they're all alike in my eyes. there are some differences still I couldn't remember which is t-nai and which is g-ran.
What are even these names? obviously, I had never heard of anything like it before for they never existed on earth as they had magical proficiency and it's my first time learning of them.

And I could be reading them wrong, Landolf is extremely useless when it comes to these things despite having been learning the language from him for almost two weeks now I still couldn't read properly.

And it was to be expected, the alphabet is a hybrid of Latin of some sort, it wasn't hard to memorize or pronounce especially that I had been a polyglot. but the words are quite unique in writing it feels like a mix of all french, german, and Spanish altogether.

Several languages exist in this world as I was informed, and I was learning the most common one in study, Legary.

surprisingly since I had possessed this body, I could speak like a native and understand others as well, but I could barely read or write.

as difficult as it is, I always found new languages fun to learn anyways and enjoyed it.

Still, it had only been a week and a half since I started.

" ugh.. he really could have elaborated better, at least an illustration."

Looking at this jumbo of handwriting I sigh.

"I miss the internet."

I have realized how hard life really is without it and I hate it.

" the world wide web huh. I mean if we are talking about it now it would be so great if there was more of a dimensions wide web."
Haha.
Except that would be too much to ask for I guess...

Or is it?

Actually now if we really think about it, what is impossible? I have already established the fact that I am in a world of magic so there wasn't much commonsense to hang on in my case.

And I definitely had nothing to lose by trying right?
I'm but a beginner at magic so I wondered if my imagination could make up for it.

contemplating on the idea I closed my eyes and seriously thought about it. I would look stupid if it didn't work and would be absolutely embarrassed. but if it did...

Well it's a gamble without much to lose.

Opening my eyes again I took a deep breath and stared ahead looking for the right words.
What should it be? Web? Network? Connexion maybe? hmmm...
Why am I even taking so long just for a word? In these kinds of situations, it's always better to be blunt and just go for it.
then...
